...my makeup somehow get on my clothes especially on my tops and blouses. ... It there anyway to prevent this from happening. Any suggestions will help.
A story from early in my transition... One of my first times going to a store to buy clothes, like the second or third time or something, I had just gone for a makeover and walked up the street... this was early in my transition... no electrolysis yet so needed heavy stick-like coverage for shadow... went to a store and tried on a few things... Firstly, I was still getting used to putting on/taking off certain dresses/blouses... some items of clothing seemed to require, what was then for me, a whole new coordination. Combine that with the fact that I had this heavy coverage on... so I'm trying to get this blouse off in this tiny dressing room and OMG, it's not coming off and I'm going back-and-forth and I'm starting to sweat and ... I cannot hold in my laughter as I type this now...

... so finally I got this thing off... and i didn't even really like this blouse... I knew I wouldn't like it but someone had suggested it as a thing to try on so I did... ended up getting all kinds of makeup all over it... I ended up buying the thing because it was a mess when I emerged from the dressing room. My goodness. They must have though I was struggling with an alligator in there.
Okay, with that hopefully funny story out of the way, I've seen this happen with my lighter coverage too... but not for a long long while... generally haven't seen this in a long while...
So one day shortly after I experienced that dressing room drama where I battled the blouse from outer space with tons of heavy coverage, I asked a gal about this... I asked, how do ciswomen manage to get shirts, dresses, blouses on/off without getting makeup all over them, especially the collar area? The answer: Very carefully...
She told me ciswomen deal with the same thing... you gotta be careful. It's a talent you have to learn. I try to avoid changing tops after makeup but I have to some times and I'm just more coordinated now... I tend to stretch them out as much as I can without damaging them when lifting them off... I can also do more of a Houdini thing that I've seen other women do where they contort their body to slink things on and off. Somehow I can get the air out of my system, my body becomes thinner, I carefully stretch the garment/collar, I lean over as much as feels right, let it drop off, or shake it off a little til it drops... and if I need to help it, I can now move shoulders and whatnot with more elegance than before... and the clothes just slink off... I've had a lot of luck... way back a couple of years ago, it was a circus at best.

I think it helps nowadays that I've had full facial hair removal so can use normal light coverage that is powdered... but the powder can still transfer so care is still needed... generally it just seems like something i got better at dealing with.
I don't think it would hurt to search the web for "avoid makeup transfer clothes" or "take clothes on off makeup avoid" ... saw some hits but not sure if they'll be helpful. I think women are just careful and learn how to mitigate problems... and are prepared to remove stains should it happen on rare occasions.
