Eye sight might deteriorate over time after lasik for a number of reasons. There's some thought that HRT _might_ be one of them.
Unlike PRK or Lasek, standard Lasik procedure is easy to follow up with subsequent corrections. So, I'd rather not worry too much about what happens down the road.
PS I had a -12/-10 and chose to have PRK. My eyesight downshifted from 25/20 to 20/25 over 2-3 years, but stabilized there. No major hrt (although I played a little with them birth control pills, but it happened after my vision downgraded). I'm quite ok with the results as they are, and again with PRK it's not so easy to follow up, nor do I have much room after such a massive correction in the first place.
So, I know a little what I am talking about.
