Very tired, higher dose

I started a higher dose a few months ago and so far it goes well, shark week finally quit on me and my sex drive seems more stable. Also less prone to depression, it seems.

However, I am tired near constantly. Just don´t have any stamina. I wanted to wait some three months for the hormone levels to settle and then have it checked out, but I was wondering if others have experienced this.

Yeah noticed this pretty much instantly once starting T. I slept a ridiculous amount; but levelled out after a couple months. Seems to be a common thing all teenage boys go through.

I recently had my dose cut a bit and I got fatigue from that; I tried taking the old dose for a few days just now and the fatigue was mostly gone again. So it seems the higher the dose the less fatigue I have.

That said if higher T is causing more muscle growth etc maybe you can expect to be drained from that. Just like healing, growth requires energy and body resources.

Have you started eating more with the new dose? Every time I went up I felt I needed to increase my food intake a fair bit for a couple of weeks to adjust.

Yeah that's a good point, a few extra mg of T and I lose weight eating the same food.

Actually I haven´t been eating a lot, I´ve got some eating trouble together with the anxiety that rears its head sometimes. It´s going better than a week ago. It could be related.

Maybe it´s just adjusting to the new dose. I sleep like a rock too, much better than I ever did pre-T.

I'm with you on the tiredness. For me the lack of energy started after week 3 on T. At first I thought I might be coming down with something because it's the flu season here and just about everybody in the office has either a head cold or has gone down with the flu.

But this tiredness is not letting go of me, and it's now been about six weeks. I'm keeping up with my regular exercise routine ( cardio and weight training) and compared to pre-T it is quite a bit harder for me to power through those exercises. I'm feeling really flat during training and it takes a huge amount more effort to get through the exercises.

Plus, I'm tired pretty much all day long. When I get home from work, I literally have to sleep for an hour or so just to pep up a bit and feel normal for a little while ( until I jump into my exercise routine a few hours later).

I'll have another blood test done in 5 weeks and if that tiredness continues I'll mention it to my doc at that time.

T was supposed to increase exercise tolerance and give an energy boost. Nope. Not for me.
