In my experience it does not get much bigger unless you eat more and add bodyfat.  Unfortunately, this makes your stomach bigger too.

I am having some luck making mine bigger without adding fat by doing heavy barbell squats and deadlifts.

Every individual is different in how they redistribute fat.  I've personally been gaining shape in the rear and my stomach has been decreasing.

Estrogen should increase gluteofemoral (butt, thighs) fat deposition and prevent waist/abdominal fat accumulation. This is why young women develop breasts, butt, thighs but have a small waistline. Insulin can promote abdominal weight gain so keeping it low to normal by not eating excess carbs is smart too. ;)

However, we are not entering this at 11 years old.  For the majority, years of testosterone have left excess fat cells around the abdomen that aren't going to suddenly disappear.  While we will gain fat around the waist slower than before, the fat will still be stored in the existing fat cells.  Perhaps after a few years they might disappear.  But at least in my case that number of years is more than 2.5.

In my case it definitely happened - i believe three inches (i don't have time to look back in my journal) have been gained in my butt and it looks very feminine. My hips in general have more fat on them.

My diet is high in veggies and protein and overall i have lost weight. The only carbs i consume for the most part come from alcohol. Very little rice, no potatoes, no bread, once in a while some tortilla chips.

I do seesaw up and down 5 pounds and that has seemed to accelerate fat redistribution.

Thanks girls for your good advice.  I was just curious since after almost 2 months my hips have only grown 1/2", but look much rounder.
Girl butt rocks, Jessica 🙋🏼

At five months, I haven't seen any changes in my measurements.  Even my boobs have grown at the expense of fat and muscle, so the net change is as close to zero as I can measure.

I do see some change in my hips and thighs.  But it is subtle.  Really subtle.  There is a bit of curvature where they used to be straight.  The actual difference in measurements can't be more than mere millimetres.

My butt always was cute, and it still is.  Whether is is cuter (i.e. more curvy) than before, I can't really tell.

My pant size went from zero to eight since starting hrt. I was also underweight before :/  My stomach has got more fat as well, but still smaller than my behind.

Testosterone does the same as estrogen, keeps fat from accumulating in the abdominal region. It's the drop in T and eating habits that lead to abdominal weight gain. Any fat accumulated before HRT can be shed after, with the right diet and hormones. Too low E and/or T, despite eating well, can lead to abdominal fat accumulation.

Here's an interesting concept I haven't seen talked about very much.......  Weight loss surgery......and HRT.  Almost 8 years ago, I had weight loss surgery.  Called the MGB for Mini Gastric Bypass.  I was 334 pounds, and now hover in the 160's.  I have now been on MTF HRT for 2 months.  For one, I have been curious to see if my body absorbs it properly, maybe less, maybe more because of my bypass.  I'm supposed to go in for follow up blood tests in about a month to see how my actual levels are.  But knowing that the reason the surgery helped me lose weight, is largely because it was designed to allow the food I eat to bypass parts of the intestine that absorb so much.  It is the malabsorbtive properties that make it work so well.  So even thought I take my estrogen sublingually, and therefore that shouldn't be affected by the bypass...The Spiro I still swallow, so that could be affected.

The other thing I wanted to mention, in sticking with the theme of the thread..........As far as fat redistribution goes.....I have been curious to see how my body would respond to HRT having already been significantly overweight in the past, but being normal weight now.  I'm curious to see if my body has a tendency to distribute fat differently because of the fat cell history within my body.  I already have a lot of saggy loose skin from so much weight loss.  I'm very curious to see if any of it fills back in, and hopefully in the right places.  Even when I was at my heaviest, my body weight was pretty evenly distributed and not mostly in my stomach area like a lot of men.  So I'm hoping that fat will find itself going to my butt, thighs and breasts mostly.  But we shall see.  Not enough transgender weight loss surgery people out there to really get an idea of what to expect.
