This is a bit of a deja-vu, as I have asked a similar question before.
My surgery date is getting closer now and so I have to start making plans (the ticker isn´t entirely accurate).

I live on my own in a tiny studio, with a kitchen and shared shower facilities. Post-op, it would be easier for me to chill here, watch series all day and feel in my comfort zone. However I´m not sure if that´s doable (with periaureolar).

My question is: do you think I should stay with someone else for the first few days, and if so, how long? It isn´t difficult for me to get somebody to bring me food everyday once I am home, keep me company, and perhaps help me with some small things.

I am generally not very comfortable staying with other people, let alone for extended periods of time.

I think you'd be fine living on your own; as long as you got someone bringing you food and checking up on you to see how you're doing.

I've just had a double incision procedure and although I've had to get food brought to me for the first 2 days after surgery due to drowsiness I'm now pretty much fully mobile. It's the tight medical binder I have to wear causing me to be sorta stiff still not the scars themselves. The arm/shoulder exercises have helped also.
Although I've heard many other people with DI struggled for much longer. But as you're having Peri areola which is less invasive I think you'll be absolutely fine mobility wise. Just the drowsiness after surgery is the main issue.

It really depends on the amount of surgery you need. I have had several surgeries and the more extensive, involved surgeries do require some else to be there. However, the minor procedures may hurt somewhat, but I had no problems recovering from them by myself. The only problem is that outpatient surgery does require a taxi cab or someone else to drive you home after the surgery.

Food was probably the hardest thing for me, so if you've got help with that then I think you will likely manage. Just make sure to move everything to around waist-shoulder height for when the person isn't there to help! I forgot to move bowls down for snacking which wasn't fun, I found it hard to eat full meals for a few days and usually snacked instead.
