I just joined and thought I would introduce myself.

Tappy  ( short for Tappertoo ) comes from Around The World In 80 Days as in Passporttoo  .

I am a musician ( keyboards & guitar ) . I enjoy writing , history and I am trying to enjoy myself , however I will table that for another time.

I am older than I may seem and still young enough to want to life.

  I'm Laurie, MTF and an older  person too. I'm 65. I've been transitioning since last December. Please let me say, Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around.  Tell us a little bit more about yourself so we can get to know you a little better and greet you properly.

Thanks for posting the info , and thanks for your honesty , you have no idea how happy I am for you and the information you have shared.

I just started therapy a couple of months ago because I was not feeling well , inside , and last week was tuff and I told my T I needed to tell her some thing that would be very hard for me and I felt like I was standing at the edge of a great abyss , fearing to go forward and not daring to go backwards.

I have now idea what the future hold for me , but all I can say is I want to live a happy life , and again thank you for your honesty , I truly mean that < hugs >

Good morning , or almost afternoon I hope all is well.

Thank you all for the kind welcome I truly appreciate it , and just for the record , I am NOT a Trump supporter.
He is our President and needs the respect the office is due , but now more than that.
For any man that would provoke another crazy man into a nuclear slug-fest , not my idea of leadership , especially when it is done on a smart phone and tweeted no less.

OK we got that out there , I say let it stay out there , maybe we can forget about it !!

Kendra , actually I would love to travel , I just never had the opportunity to do so.

My late mom was ill for many years before she passed in June of 2005 , then my dad took ill with heart problems and passed in June of 2015. For many years I was either a helping caregiver or a sole caregiver , but now it just me.

I have some issues I hope to get sorted out in time , but we can talk about that later.

This is just my personal view , I have always supported the LGBT community as we are all people trying to get through this life as best we can. One of my very close friends is an L and so much of my life has been repressed , I don`t remember her last name , only that I loved her like a sister , and miss her. Of course everyone else thought I was nuts to hang with an L , but I did not care. Sorry , I have a bad habit of rambling on.

What happened last year in Florida was something that should never happen , but it is probably still happening although on a lesser scale as not to make the news.

I believe ALL life matters and all are equal and hold value , again my personal views.

I wrote a phrase after it happened and will post it when I can.

Again , thanks for the warm welcome , I hope to be a useful member of my new community and would like to help.

Just curious ( although great security measures ) does the Verification and Q&A go away after I have been a member for a while? , Either way no big deal , like I said for better to be safe.

2nd PS:

I am really glad the W.H.O. decided to drop the term "disorder" from gender dysphoria { no disorder , as it would pertain to something of an aliment or something that could be treated }

We don`t need to be fixed , we are fine !!!~! We just want the support and equal rights afforded to us , plain and simple.

Sorry , I just had to get that out there , be proud of who we are and more important who you are.

Welcome to Susan's Place. As you accumulate more posts, things will get better and more features will unlock. Unfortunately we have a few extremely undesirable people who attempt to gain access to the site so extra measures are required for us to stop them early. The spammers and troll tend to keep life lively for a moderator but if we are doing our job properly, you will rarely see signs that they have attempted to visit us. If you  do see one, feel free to hit the report to moderator button on the right of the post and we will clean up the mess.

Thank you for your reply , I completely understand , it is far better to be safe than have a bunch nasties messing up a GR8 place.

I am more than willing to put my time in , as I truly believe I can help as well as receive help and guidance here.

The most important thing in these times is to have a safe well managed community where we can share our views and feelings and maybe if we are lucky feel a little bit better because of it.

You are we must keep this place whole ,  a place of safety and a place of safe companionship for all.

I applaud your efforts , intended with the upmost sincerity and thanks.

Also , I don`t know how many here are Signed, Sealed & Delivered fans , but Hallmark Movies & Mysteries  is having a marathon tomorrow, starting @ 9:00AM EDT with "Truth Be Told" and ending at 9:00PM with the new one "Home Again" , I was hooked on the pilot 

I hope Hallmark keeps making more SS&D movies , I won`t get any peace until Oliver & Shane are at the alter !!

I know , I am nuts , thats A-OK with me
