Hello! :icon_wave:

I'm so glad that I found that site!!
About me ... I'm 38 years and I definitely know what I am. A transexual from man into woman.
I dressing womans cloths almost 33 years, from when I was 5th or 6th years old. I always knew that something not as it should be, but didn't know what, until I was almost 18 years old and in one magazin was a girl and her story about changing the gender. From that moment I was knew who I am,(I was and I still am proud on that) why I feel different all that time and why I have such a strong desire to wearing womans cloths all that time.
Was almost married three times, now I'm glad that I didn't, because it wouldn't go out.
I got two sisters and parents - this is the part where it comes the hardest thing in my life, HOW to tell them what I feeling, what I am, how? I don't won't to hurt them,my father is proud on me ... I don't lie to my self, I know what I am and what I wanna be but I keep lie to my family and friends. It's soooooo hard to tell the truth to the family.  :icon_sadblinky:
By the way, I'm from Europe, please forgive me my mistakes in english and you can call me Michelle  :) if you want.

Thanks,

Michelle

Hi Michelle and welcom, I am also new here myself. Breaking the news to parents will be a tough thing to be shure. I live with my mom and have been dressing in womens clothes on and off for close to 30 years. I always had this feeling of being more feminine than masculine although the later gender is what I have been in for most of my life. I've been in the closet with this for a long time. Only now it's come out for me. My mom sorta found out that I was looking around about MTF operations. She wasnt to happy to say the least so for now I might have to stay in the closet untill I can find somewere esle to live. I love my mom and wouldn't want to hurt her.
So for now I can only fantasize about it. Good luck on your journey. I know I will.

Thanks to all for warm Welcome!!

@ Andre, I'm glad that I'm not the only one from the Europe and I think that this is actualy good idea ... too prepare them slowely and change clothes gradually..let them figure out ... (Thank you), also I noticed a few members from Germany too  :) .

@ Kelli, yes I believe that I found the right place for me on the net, with a lots of very helpful information and people who are really care about each other, I feel something like we are a big family.

@ Owen, Hi and Welcome Owen!!
Feminine, yes that's it ... I had the same feeling all the time, at home, in school etc ... until I seen that story in the magazine.
About moms, my mom twice time founded my secret place full of bras, panties, nylons, minnie skirts even my shous, first time was shocking and asking me totaly wrong questions and at the end taking everything and thrown away.
The second time, when she founded again all my lingerie with lipsticks, mascara, nails etc ... she wasn't schocked anymore, she just '' borrowed ''  :) some lipsticks .
So, I guess, mother wouldn't be such a huge problem, but father and sisters, who will tell them?? I'm to scared ... Right now I live one floor higher than my parents, but they got keys from my appartment and mother sometimes need to '' cleaning '' when I'm at work and she's better than FBI & KGB together  :) .
She founded pantyhose many times (I love to wear them under my jeans), here or there some piece of my lingerie etc ...
I have also asked about MTF operations, just like you!!! and yes they doing them here, on the clinic, but first I need to go to psychiatrist to make some test, than if everything okay I need to start dressing like a woman daily, two years (even on the work) in a meanwhile they start with hormons and other things and after that time to operation. That was short version  ;) ...
Isn't nice to have all that information a few years already but nothing to do about parents?

QuoteSo for now I can only fantasize about it.
just like me, Owen, just like me.
and Good luck on your journey too!!

@ Caroline, You live a full time as a female? Oh God, you lucky girl!!!!
This is my dream, to live like you, a full time as a girl, no secrets anymore, nothing ... friends?Don't bother with them, they was not worthy you, If I was one of them, I would be very PROUD on you, to have you as a friend.

Take care,

Thanks,

Hello Michelle,
I'm a late bloomer, or maybe you would call it thick headed. Anyway it took me over 50 years a wife 3 children 4 grandchildren to figure out that I was trangender. To know at such a young age is a blessing. Yes it is hard to tell your parents but what if you had a family like I have. Do you or don't you tell?  My wife knows and is still adjust to it.
There more to beening a woman than cloths and body. It what inside, that what really is important.
Relax and take small step right now you have a most of your life still in font of you.

Glade to meet you.
:)

Hi Mrs. Cassie,

Thank you for the Welcome.
I know that I'm on the right place for the informations I looking for, also I noticed that pretty friendly relationship you got here, almost something like a big family.About english, you know how it is by 38 years, pretty much learned from the movies, something from the books and that's it.Definitely will check the WIKI and the expiriences from all others, because I got some questions to ask (about breasts) etc ... but maybe I will found answer before I ask.
Cup of tea will do fine and one pill of Aspirine for my headache and then I go in bed.

Thank you mrs. Cassie

@ Sara  Hi, I'm sure I will, my 17 years niece is also name Sara, nice name!

Thank you

@ Jillieann Hi dear,

No,no you're not a late bloomer, you got 3 children and 4 grandchildrens, that's a blessing.I want my own children but as you mentioned ... I couldn't tell my wife. I'm scared to tell my family and I could imagine how hard it must be for you.
QuoteThere more to beening a woman than cloths and body. It what inside, that what really is important.

Agreed with you, I feel like a woman in every way I could, at the start I thought, maybe it will go, if I wouldn't dressing like a woman but it isn't go away.I don't need to be dressing like a woman every day, but I still feel like a woman.

Nice to meet you dear Jillieann :)

Greetings, Michelle, and Welcome!

This is a wonderful place for answers and advice and support.  I am very happy that you could join us.  I love the fact that this is an international site, we get comments and opinions from many cultures that way.

Telling parents is very hard to do.  I am in the process of telling my mom slowly, first by telling her that I am going to therapy but not saying why.  My father passed away 11 years ago.  He was one of the big reasons I pushed myself down for so long.

I will look forward to reading more from you and am happy to again say,

WELCOME!

.
So, please, if you mrs. Stephanie or Hazmat send me P.O.Box adresse on my PM (If I got one, lol ... still didn't found the way, how to send PM to the others) or on my e-mail.Thank you.About PM, just get an explanation, Thank you Kimberly!

by the way ... I really know one girl from the Canada, she's married, mother of one etc ... no, I didn't tell her about me, the truth , yeah I know ... shame on me :icon_redface: ... it would be much easier if the people would accepted as the way we are, but no ...

Thank you mrs. Stephanie,

cya

Hi Helen,

and thank you for your WELCOME!!
I'm also very very happy that I joined Susan's place from all others on the net, I think is this the best site ever created for us. At first when I still didn't joined, I thought that site maybe created only for american/canadian area but after I start reading the sites I found that it's really an international site and than my pulse jump to the sky, my heart start working faster and I joined immediately  :) . I found my new home, full of people who understand me and my problems!
Sorry to hear about your dad, but on the other hand, you could tell your mom a little easier, slowely and careful.I don't know what to do, maybe I'll also wait so long, as you did.The hardest will be telling parents, sisters are not such a problem, one is merried out of the country in (Suisse), the other living near us (also merried and one children) .Dad is the hardest, should I tell him that he got three dothers and no son, this would probably killed him in this very moment.
Well, will go to read another storys, how the rest of you telling your parents.

Thank you dear Helen!!
Ich wünsche dich auch: Freude und Frieden  :icon_yes:

I have somewhat of a special situation, but my Father was the second person I told. (Fiancée being the first). Who I've lagged behind telling was my father's mother, I've finally told her just shy of 6months on HRT. I tend to wish I had told her sooner but I am not unhappy with the way things have worked out for me in this regard.

Anyway, I tend to think that it is really quite dependent on your family as who is best/hardest and so on to tell. For that matter how and what to tell depends greatly on the people also, I think.

There is a A Guide to Coming out to Family present in the wiki which may be of help.

I wish you luck Michelle (=

Hi Melissa,

and thank you  :) , yes I am very happy that I found this place,it's look so peaceful here, so nice ... I was on many other (mixed) forums before and boys have always wright, if I start to proving them that I'm wright and not they, than topics will be soon longer than 8 sites ... specially this last forum where I was (Lineage2World), this was the worst forum ever, just a few girls with me  :) and few 1000 guys , it wasn't easy against them  :) ...

Thank you,

cya
