I think if a tattoo studio is well run with professional staff; then they'll be respectful of everyone. Regardless of sexuality or gender. As tattoo artists they've seen every walk of life; nothing fazes them anymore. They're more interested in giving you the art you want; and not so much in your private life. And it's not unheard of for male presenting people to get feminine looking tattoos. I recently got to two flowers tattooed in feminine colours and the artist didn't question it.
And to add it's also necessary to find an artist who specialises in one style of art as well as who specialises in how to rework tattoos. Not all artists can do this to a high standard.
