I made my first appointment with a gender therapist, Dr. Elizabeth Riley, in Sydney for Friday the 6th of October after my GP found and recommended her ;D She's a totally private psychologist so she doesn't have a Medicare provider number (Aussies will know what that is) so I'll be completely out of pocket, but I'm OK with that :)

I'm flying down on a red-eye with my mother for a double appointment (she was taken aback at the distance I'll be travelling to see her so she suggested it), and we fly back the same night.

All-in-all I'll be out of pocket around $684AUD for flights and sessions (Regional living really kinda sucks).

There's a previous post about her

But I'm curious, why do you need to fly such a distance to see a therapist?

The reason being there are no psychologist either locally or visiting to where I live that specialise in gender :)
