Noomi

Been lurking since the end of August, when I first signed up to become a member here. This was at the same time that I came out as Transgender to my counsellor, it was as if a switch had been flipped. My world of darkness and despair became a world of light and hope.
I'm 47 from the UK and just beginning on this amazing journey into becoming the woman I believe I am inside. Excited, scared, thrilled, anxious are all words to explain how I feel. So much to explore, so much to learn about myself. I have told five people about myself, and now I can count you folks as number six. I look forward to sharing my life with you all.

Welcome to the ride. Sit down and hang on tight. It's a helluva trip! And don't forget to stop and smell the roses once in a while. I have found I can get so into the process I can forget to enjoy the journey. Welcome.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

Noomi, welcome to Susan's!  So glad you said hello.

Your intro summarized many of the emotions and experiences we all have.  Each of us has a unique story but there's definitely a reason we go through all the stuff with transtition.  In my particular case it has been sooooo worth it... no way I'd roll the clock back, and if I did I'd head right back into it.  I am MtF in Seattle.

I'm going to add some information we always provide to new members, to help with navigation and provide an easy reference to site guidelines and requirements.  Here it is:

Hi Noomi,
Awe, you are a youngster! Welcome to you. My name is Moni. Glad to see you know the 'transgender oath,' "excited, scared, thrilled, anxious," yup, sounds about right. Oh, you can add impatient to move forward, one of my favorite's. Hope to see you around, Hon.
If I ever offend you, let me know. It's not what I am about.

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸
