Hello everyone. Just found the site while searching for other ideas for feminizing workouts. Guess I'm a little late to that discussion as the previous post is over a year old.

Anywho, I'm a middle aged male to female transgender who happens to be high functioning Autistic. I'm still pre-op at the moment, but on HRT. I've basically "known" since I was 4 years old, and am just now finally able to fully transition. I'm married to a soft butch bisexual genetic female. Can't exactly call her cisgender, since she has very mild gender dysphoria, but is not transitioning. We have (currently) 12 year old twins, boy and girl. I have led a fairly full life so far, minus completing transition. I served in the United States army as an infantryman and combat lifesaver, pre 9/11. I was a multi-sport athlete. I have done amateur MMA as well as amateur bodybuilding competitively. I have lived in 10 different states, notably Oregon and Ohio, and visited the rest of the contiguous ones, (aka, not Alaska or Hawaii.) I have lived in 4 countries, and visited 26 more. I speak Spanish almost fluently and can at least read (with difficulty) Italian and Portuguese. My mother passed in 2006, but had accepted me completely, but as I was not transitioning at the time (long story) never really got to meet her daughter. After 12 years, my father is finally at least admitting that it's happening and not just a phase. A ways to go yet before he accepts the real me. My wife's family, being hippies in the 60's, accept me as one of their daughters completely.

While some of my views are a bit on the conservative side, most are fairly liberal (especially on GBLTQ issues.) I don't judge anyone, other than by their actions and words. I always speak from the heart. So if I don't use the terms J/K, LOL, (sarcasm,) or it's obvious (ie. I ate my lunch on the moon;) I'm being completely honest and serious. I welcome intelligent debate, as long as you can support your argument with logic. However, I have no time to waste on Trolls, Flamers, Bigots, Liars, Thieves, or anyone who makes others suffer just because they can. I am currently looking forward to starting the LPN nursing program in the spring and finally getting my beard area hair removed with lazer and electrolysis with our next tax return. My hobbies include structural engineering, gaming, Ohio State football (but not a fan-girl,) martial arts, cars, the military, shopping, cooking, and the girliest things you can think of, (such as My Little Pony FIM.)

My biggest faults are that occasionally I'm stubborn, procrastinate, and don't always take my own advice. (cough, cough, fitness.)

Hopefully I can get to know many of you and we can support each other like family. Though we may disagree at times (occasionally vociferously,) I respect and love you all as human beings.

    HUGS!

 Hi Jenny,
I'm Laurie and I'm MtF also. Welcome to Susan's place. I did my service in the Navy back in the 1970s. Devlyn would holler at me if I didn't invite you to our Roll Call Thread so you can check in. Let me say Thank You for your service, Jenny.
I finished my long time quest to visit all 50 states just this past June with a road trip from Oregon to Maine. Along the way I was able to meet with nine other ladies from Susan's Place. Somewhere  during the trip I started full time as I could not see the sense in returning to male mode after having been from one shore of our country to the other as myself. When I left home I had precious little experience with presenting as the woman I am. But with the help of those woman I met along the way that changed. I am still learning to deal with all the ramifications of my choices and it has been difficult at times but I believe it is what I need to do.
Again Jenny., welcome to Susan's little place on the web. Come on in and meet the denizens that live here.

  Hugs,
    Laurie

No need to apologize. I'm not that easily offended. Was just getting really confused. All good!

I'm still glad you are here Jenny. This place has been a big help for me as I'm sure you will find out for yourself.
Another thing I wanted to say is that my parents are gone  now too with my mom passing only a few years ago. She also never got to meet her new daughter as I did not know she was me then. I'm told my mom did know of my penchant for dressing as a woman but she never let on to me that she knew. I miss her still and wish things were different.
See, Jenny, we have a lot in common.

  Hugs,

Hi Jenny, and welcome.

I was in the Infantry too although before you I think.  My main hobby right now is physical fitness as I don't think you can ever get that out of your blood once it's there.  So I look forward to your posts on the topic.

You don't look that old. Remember I ETS'ed in '01. As to fitness, already have several posts on both fitness topics, (in general discussion and beauty, for some reason this site has 2 completely separate fitness topics.) One of them is likely to be made into a sticky (Important things to remember before posting fitness advice,) pending moderator consensus.

LOL.  I retired in 2001.  Maybe we ran across one another at some point before that.

I've been trying to build up my hips and butt through barbell squats since June.  The size is coming along very slowly while the strength has improved quickly.  I guess I just need to be patient and keep at it for a long time.

Definitely, but not till it comes out on video. Trips to the theater just aren't in the family budget. We always just wait for everything to come out on video, then watch it in our "home theatre" in pj's eating snacks that don't cost an arm and a leg, the ability to pause for potty breaks, and I can light up a cigarette if the characters do an give me the urge. We have a 5.1 (5 speakers plus sub) home theatre system that plays DVD's and Blu-Rays, and a 55" Samsung hooked up with a DVI cable. The couch is also way more comfy than seats in a theater. Don't have to worry about parking, or going through the hassle of making my self "presentable" so I don't have to worry about passing so some bigot doesn't ruin the movie for me, wife and kids. Add the fact I don't have to spend close to $40 on tickets compared to just adding it to my Netflix DVD que and it's a no brainer. Would love to see a CGI/Live action one too, maybe with the Ponies in CGI going through the portal to where they become the pony girls and use live actors for them. But yeah, definitely gonna watch it.

HUGS!
