Yes. The internet is good in tiny doses. More than that and it causes depression and angst. People look at me aghast when I say Facebook is a load of rubbish.

Or dare I say it, the fake stories. Nothing online can be taken as true. That's what really narks me about schools. They teach the kids to research online when online facts are about as believable as somebody selling 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

I was very depressed for many years. Have hope! There is light at the end of the tunnel and it's not a train!
A few things that helped me dig my way out of it.

I quit all drugs, even pot and alcohol.
I sought out and found social interactions with positive people who genuinely accept and care about me.
I dropped anybody in my life who doesn't fit the above description.
I accepted myself as I am and quit trying to fit others' ideas about who and what they think I should be.

I don't know you and can't presume to know what will work for you. I'm just me sayin' what helped me.

I walked 10 km yesterday. I felt so much better. Felt like I had achieved something.

Why does this happen to me? At many times in the day, I lose all hope, and feel like crying. I don't understand the reason behind it.

Why can't you go to your parents and tell them you need help like right now? I urge you to talk to anyone and everyone who will listen. As a last resort, you could call the police and ask to be put on a 72 hour hold.

I am afraid to talk to my parents. I also don't want to hurt them by telling them that I haven't studied for my exams.

Not at all,  many here,  including myself have been.

I still have in my possession the means by which I planned to end things. I had written up instructions,  chosen music for my funeral and put my affairs in order.
Even when I started my transition,  I was honest with my therapist,  that if it didn't work,  that was always my other option. But if you're at that point,  you don't have anything to loose in trying do you?

Life can be so much better, I know your situation is difficult,  but being true to ourselves with others can really make a difference to our mental health. X

I have planned everything too, but I won't ever do it, because it will hurt my parents so much.
     Writing about it just makes me feel a little better so I write my thoughts here.
     
      I will never do anything that will hurt my parents, I love them so much.
