Basically the above. Which surgeon/clinic is regarded as the best in the field?

I don't know anymore. They all have their own flaws.

I guess Deschamps-Braly, Spiegel and Harrison Lee are up there.

FFS: Dr Noorman van der Dussen, August 2018 (Belgium)
SRS: Dr Suporn, January 2019 (Thailand)
VFS: Dr Thomas, May 2019 (USA)

I've noticed that there's quite a number of people who can go anywhere they want, and they all go to different surgeons. Its a mystery.

It really depends on what you need to have done. There are many excellent surgeons who do a fantastic nose, but if you need a chin or brow done, they may not be the best choice.

Examine your self carefully and focus on the most important areas of your face to correct and then find a well known surgeon who has a good track record with those procedures.

I would feel fine with any of the well known US trained surgeons.

I'm in a similar situation (can go anywhere) and I've pretty much settled for Facial Team as they were incredibly professional, the results look good and it's relatively convenient from the UK.

I agree that most of the well known surgeons will do a good job.

I personally don't think the price is an indicator of the quality when it comes to FFS. Some of the top $$$ surgeons even don't operate on their clients but their students perform the surgeries. Do a careful research about different doctors, find the one who delivers results that you like constantly and make a decision. The price tag has nothing to do with the results you will get

As everyone else said, there isn't a 'best' surgeon.  As long as you go to a surgeon that's been doing FFS for many, many years and has done thousands of FFS procedures on thousands of patients, you should be fine.  You really want to go to surgeon who has a lot of experience doing FFS specifically.

Yeah it's really a tough call. It's good to interview a bunch of them because everyone gets a different feel for different people.

Personally I chose Deschamp-Braly because of forehead work and really happy with it. I also did rhino with him because it kind of goes hand in hand with forehead work.....but not quite AS happy with nose as with forehead.

That being said, nose is harder to get right (you see a lot of nose jobs out there) but if I ever got it modified, I may choose to go to a more specialized nose doctor (rather than an FFS one).

For the money is not an issue crowd, am reading/seeing more going for specific things & not doing the overall package at a single surgical center. Was talking with someone recently that mentioned, pending needs, Lefort procedures- description of similar at link~> https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php?topic=218362.0
Or go to someone who they feel can maximize the effects to feminize their jaw line & chin.
Followed by a different surgeon to do forehead, brow lift & orbital rim. Have also seen others saying to go to a specific plastic surgeons who specializes in rhinoplasty to finish the surgical process.

I on the other hand am not in that crowd. Am hanging out in the money is an issue neighborhood & would not have the patience to be that sort of patient.  ;)

All of that aside, have not seen a clear best for every patient regardless of cost. Have been watching results for many years & very seriously this past few months. There are so many variables from cost as outlined, duration of stay, single or 2 stage operations. Recovery duration or how long one must wear any sort of compression/chin strap garment. I could keep going, but am feeling that research & shared results are our friend. While not a short term process, it should be a pathway for better individualized aesthetics & guideline for how things will go.
