Hi girls, 🙋 one hopeful I had was to round out my hips, butt and thighs.  In 3 months I've gained an inch on my butt.  I noticed that my butt wasn't as firm and jiggled when I shake my booty.  Anyone else have fairly early fat redistribution?

My hips have gotten three inches smaller than when I started.   However, the difference between my hips and waist started at three inches and is now six inches.  So I take that as an improvement.  There was a 40 lb weight loss involved though.

I may be only a month in but I've begun to notice some slight changes to my hips. They seem to be rounding out. I always had love handles just above my hip bones, no matter how skinny/muscular I was. Now that fat seems to be migrating south ONTO my hip bones! Yay! An annoying side effect tho is my man pants don't fit anymore... I need a belt, as they keep falling down... But whatever, skirts/dresses are starting to sit/look right on my hips now, & I think it's more than a fair trade!
As you're farther along, have you noticed the backs of your hands/feet getting smoother? I feel mine look less tendony, & I'm hoping it continues. I was worried about having "man hands" from doing labor all my life, but they def look better. I wish I could put on weight, I can't help but feel that I'd look more feminine if I could...

I've read that it becomes harder to find blood vessels after awhile.  They are obvious on the back of my hands, but my last blood tests the veins in my arms were hard to find.
..and I hate needles, Jessica 🤦‍♀️

My waist is going to be a challenge.  My rib cage is the same as my hips.  I'd need to get a girdle to get results like you have.  I'm envious.
Must exercise more.....be a Wonder Woman, be like Deborah.

My rib cage got about 3.5 inches smaller also.  That was some fat and I think some lat muscle too.

I do like exercise, usually somewhere between 2 and 3 hours a day.  Up to about half of it is walking though.   If nothing else it makes sleep really easy.

Hmm, that's interesting... I'm a former IV drug user (3ish yrs on heroin, coping mechanism for GD, 8 months clean w/ methadone) & I can attest to how difficult it was for some ciswomen I used to use w/ to "hit..."
I have no track marks, my skin heals well, but sadly I burned most of my veins out... They had 2 draw thru a tiny spider vein in my forearm, w/ a heating pad 2 raise the vein... They're slowly coming back, but that kinda sux to learn they'll just get hard to find again... Ah well, my own fault.

Veins don't protrude as much in women because of the increased subcutaneous fat.  :)
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

Hi Jessica;
I have added nearly 5" to my buttocks, such that all of my male trousers, undies didn't fit last year. That was the key message that after nearly 5 years HRT it was time to be full time. Mind you I now rock a dress or skirt as my buttocks are quite evident with some jiggle too and now with 44C Bust, my former clothes just don't fit.

However its not having hips thats the worry. Hence my interest in Brazilian Butt Lift from Doctor Aslani in Marbella, especially now that Jenny's Nest is also providing post surgery care.  Dr Aslani's pricing is also very competitive. Drop me a PM and I can share this with you.

I noticed early redistribution as well.  I was very thin before hrt, 5'9" 128 lbs and a size 2.  I'm 164 now and a size 10/12.  I had no idea how much fat would go to my butt after gaining weight.  My waist still measures the same size as before hrt.  My butt, breasts, thighs are all bigger.  My rib cage muscles have shrunk as well.  My bra band size went down from a 36 band to a 34.

Just adding some testosterone (post-op) since a few months ago, I found that my buttocks is firmer, rounder and more lifted. Cost: 0$ Things are still improving. Exercise can also help of course. Some ciswomen have no hips whatsoever so doesn't worry me that much.

That might explain explain a few things about my experiences of late getting blood drawn too.  THoguht it was just because I was extra dehaydrated.

Mine started fairly early. I used the strategy of gaining and losing the same 5 pounds repeatedly and within a year i had gained inches on my bottom and my waist size slightly went down.

Cyclical gain/loss does that?

Last winter I shed about 40 lbs, since starting HRT I gained a few back, and think I've rounded out in the hips a tiny bit, but haven't rigorously documented things.  I should, yrkk, get out some of those manderwears to see how tight they are now.  On the one day I bother dressing drab I just wear ill fitting togs to cover things up, not that there's anything to cover up yet.  It'd be curious if my hips developed before my bust.

It seems to. If you have estrogen receptors being filled and your body is telling your fat cells to fill up again a bit, then it would make sense that it would reapply to more female patterns. I know of no actual study done on this though. But in my case, my body has changed remarkably.

Estrogen promotes fat deposition in certain areas like buttocks, thighs, hips, breasts, face (cheeks).

Time to look into healthy ways to gain weight, then.  Lately I've just been a bit gluttonous in random ways and put on a few pounds, then went back to living on oatmeal/salad/rice/etc and they vanished, and the other night I noticed I seemed to have something going on in the hip region.

I think it works itself out overtime on HRT. And if not, I guess more surgery is on the horizon ! [emoji24]

I've kept a log of measurements since I started HRT and while I haven't noticed any hip circumference change at the pelvis, I have noticed a definite change in the circumference and curviness of my thighs. First of all, having been a runner and cyclist for years, I always had rock solid thighs and calves. They now seem much more jigglier and larger. I don't run anymore and so there's probably some muscle mass loss. But when I look down at my legs, they are way more feminine than before. The butt, well, it hasn't done much yet. Still waiting for that to pop.
