Trapped into a downward spiral of self-loathing and loneliness.

There is a local trans support group in my town. But just as you understood, I feel extremely scared to go there. I think I'll need a bit of time to prepare myself psychologically since my agoraphobia is pretty high. ^^'

Yup, gotta overcome that.  My first time I wrestled with my conscience for about ten minutes outside the door.  It takes courage to pass through it.  Then after the meeting you realize it wasn't that bad:)  You might just go and listen, not even participate.  I did that the first time, after saying my name.  It's all I could do, fight or flight was so high, I just sat with my eyes wide, deer in the headlights look, shaking every now and then.  It gets better, really.  Gotta stop the spiral.

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

What makes me feel quite anxious is the fact that I'll probably have to use feminine pronouns and while it doesn't bother me on the internet because I am immaterial, I never tried to do this IRL (Plus I almost never go out). I wonder if I won't be too uncomfortable doing this. ^^'

I am also kind of introverted...

When you are in a transgender group, you need to remember that everybody there has had the same thoughts that you had. Normally they will ask your preferred name and gender so you get used to being referred to in that way. If you haven't picked a name yet, they would be happy to make suggestions and help you. The magic of a group is when you realize you aren't alone and everybody understands.

I don't think I am at my place here.

Farewell.

I hope you read this before going for good...

I'm so sorry you feel this way, but please keep this site in mind if you ever do feel the need to reach out for support. A lot of what you spoke of in this and other threads such as the gaming ones is something that I know that I and others can relate to, and I also know that everyone here is always happy to do what they can. Just be safe and try to be happy, and don't let your self-loathing and loneliness get the better of you. I spent the better part of my life living as a shut in, ruled by anxiety and agoraphobia. You are not alone, and it can get better. Keep that in your heart.

Agreed, feel free to come back when you are able.  It takes a lot to break the cycle, but even doing a tiny bit at a time will feel good.  And yes, we are here to support.
