This got me thinking, if you could create your own world, what would it be like?

I wouldn't ask for much.  Just acceptance for everyone.  And a little caring to prevent people from dying from hunger and disease when they don't have to.

Sad that my dream world can happen now if people just stopped being so selfish and power hungry.

Something akin to this world... where wars were fought person to person instead of with long range weapons <war is inevtibal>

a world where greed for physical posetions and money was non existant....
A world where people could generaly get along with eachother....
A world with out orginized religion....  cuz thats the most evil thing we have out there right now, and its been causing major distruction sence its conception....

Wow, Id actualy just settle for the last one....  No orginized religion and we wouldnt have the biggots we have today hateing us creating havoc...

And I thought everyone would like to see some kinda weird animals and it rained candy and snowed icecream. Instead of a a snow plow you could just put a ice cream scooper on the front of the trucks, and there would be trucks like the trash trucks that could pick the scoops up and put them on giant cones. I don't know if a perfect world could be created. But I was interested to hear what everyone thought.

Hokay then. Let's see here:

It is the far distant future. We humans have faced our demons, and from those trials we grew wise. We live a far simpler life, an existance in communion with nature and its mysteries. We have learned stillness, and in that stillness we have rediscovered the magick of the infinite, allowing us to shape reality itself.

With our violent, destructive influence gone, the earth has renewed itself, and in the place of the many creatures we drove to extinction, new and fantastical forms of life have evolved. Dragons of old now walk our lands, though perhaps not the fearsome creatures of magic and fire we know from our own legends. Yet they are wondrous in their own right, as intelligent as we are, yet lacking the striving ambition that once drove us nearly to destroy ourselves and everything else with it.

Start with the Earth as a template.  Wind back the environmental damage that has been done by humankind over the centuries and restore the multitude of species that have been wiped out.

Move those people who won't live in harmony with the restored environment to a duplicate Earth that has the same ammenities the restored Earth now has.  If they end up destroying it again, that is their problem.

On the restored Earth, train people on how to get along with the environment and each other.  You can start with the Golden Rule, but applied to both the enviroment and people.  Seek harmony in all things.

But also allow for change.  I would love to see this dream Earth be technologically advanced, even though you may not think it is because it lacks huge factories and giant mines.  If things are designed with the entire life cycle in mind, including generating the materials that go into them, pollution could be minimal.  Heck, the byproducts from one set of processes could be the raw material for another.

Over time, in this dream world, I could see other species, like dolphins, whales, the great apes, dogs, cats, and horses becoming an active part of said world, intelligently interacting with humans and the environment.  They would almost be sybling races.

And to allow for things like meteor strikes and the death of the sun, we would have space travel.

My dream world...

I think I'd rather burn in hell for all of eternity than to discose something so precious to me.

It's mine, my own.  Sharing it makes it lose value, makes it lose it's uniqueness.  Or even worse, that someone else might have similiar dreams.

The value I place on the human soul is directly measured by the imagination one is both capable of and actively using.  And I will not sell my soul.

I did create my own world.  I call it Fu'lai.

It is a world of many politics.  People kill each other for religion and resources.  Dragons dominate the mountaintops.  Ruthless creatures roam the plains.  Even the Safe Zone is not safe.  But in each race, through each of the regions of Fu'lai, there are a few who will attain enlightenment.  And when they do, I write their stories.

In retrospect, it's not much different than this world, except for its proportion of large lizards and insects.

My dream world is this:

.. with me (as the fairy princess Tink), Peter Pan (as the prince or king) and my four kitties, no one else!  :P  Ah yes, I would also love for my kitties to have wings and fly with Peter Pan and I across our kingdom...

;D

Pica, you are in England, hard to find a place with less sun that's below the Arctic Circle.   But I do love the sun and its one of the reasons I really love California.

But I'm in love with Candide, and this is the best of all possible worlds.  Fewer wars, less politics, less hate, no religion, more sex with fewer consequences are all nice, and I do what I can to make that happen.
