For the first time in what feels like forever, I am actually thankful this year. For my wife, my family, all my friends who support me, and of course all of you on Susan's. I have made such cool friends here. It's such a shame that we're at all corners of the Earth, and it's doubtful we'll ever be able to share a conversation in person.

But most importantly, I'm thankful that after 50 years, I have finally accepted myself, and given myself permission to be real. That there is pain associated with it doesn't matter in the long run. My joy is palpable.

I hope everyone else finds that joy and thankfulness this year, too.

I'm thankful for the past year.  In spite of all the weirdness, loss of family, And now post-op depression, this has been the happiest, most fulfilling year of my adult life.

I'm thankful for all my friends, the UU gang, the Diablo Valley Girls, and especially my best friend Nancy, who has saved my sorry butt repeatedly and helped me to keep focused.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.
Electrolysis - Hours in The Chair: 238 (8.5 were preparing for GCS, five clearings); On estradiol patch June 2016; Full-time Oct 22, 2016; GCS Oct 20, 2017; FFS Aug 28, 2018; Stage 2 labiaplasty revision and BA Feb 26, 2019

Don't have Thanksgiving here but Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who does.  And blessings to everyone who has not been able to spend Thanksgiving with their loved ones.

Happy Thanksgiving! I have had another amazing year, with my surgery and all! It was three years ago, around this time, that I came out to my partner. Lots have happened over that time and each Thanksgiving (US), I think back to the last year and thank my friends and my partner for their support. Lots to do yet, and I will continue to go forward. I am fortunate that I get to celebrate Thanksgiving twice a year, once in Canada and again in the US.

Have a great day y'all! Hugs!

I'm thankful right now for having a turkey into the oven, all other major prep complete and able to sit down with a beer, a game and a movie.

Lately I've been thankful, more accurately often pinching myself in disbelief that my primary sex characteristic is actually correct.

Though I find this time of the year difficult, and this holiday seasons more so for me than others past I do have several things to be thankful for. My friends in Missouri who accepted me as family from the time I first met them. My thanks to each of those I met on my road trip who helped me become comfortable in public and are greatly responsible for me deciding I had no need to go back to my male self. Thanks also to Susan for creating this site and everyone here in support of each other. And thanks to all the staff who work to make this site a safe and helpful support site for all of us. And last to all my special friends I've made that have worked to help me personally, without whom I very possibly would not have made it to this day of thanks.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
