Can anyone recommend someone for electrolysis in Kansas City (or thereabouts)? Laser's done as much as it can for me, and I need to burn all the white / gray fuzz off my face.   

I am in central MO and go to cedar rapids, iowa for mine, so if you find one near KC, please let me know.

I'd heard about Debbie Glover elsewhere, and was going to look her up. Just wondering if anyone here had personal experience with any of them. I'll give her a call soon.

I'd seen the Body Smooth website, but haven't contacted them yet, either. I'll just get on the phone & start checking with them.

Just an update, I tried calling Debbie Glover, and the phone number is for a fax machine, so she may no longer be in business. Or only does business by fax? 

Called Body Smooth, and I've got an appointment on the 11th. She's worked with trans women before & currently. Her rates are only $65 / hour. I'll update again after the appointment!

I have an appointment with Melynda tomorrow, I'll let you know what I think. I know a bunch of girls from my support group go to spa Catalina and say they're pretty good.

I just got done with Melynda, or rather she just got done with me.

She's super nice, very professional, and works out of her house by the plaza. It's a very clean and comfortable studio and as far as I can tell she did a very good job. I'll be back in 2 weeks for more.

I have survived my first hour of electrolysis with Theresa at Body Smooth. It went great! She was super friendly & was perfectly familiar with the transgender needs. She's got a small office in North KC, and another location in Overland Park (I was at the North KC one, the OP one apparently is solidly booked most of the time).

So I have to say - laser hurt worse. She even worked on my upper lip for quite a while without my treating it with anything ahead of time (short of the 2 ibuprofen I took). The only real problem is the lasting soreness afterwards, but even that wore off after a few hours. I'll be back for another round next week!

$35 for a half hour and $50 for 45 minutes is what I was quoted.  I'm getting 45 minutes of joy on Saturday morning.

Good to know.  A little closer and a little cheaper than where I have been going.  I may give her a try.
