Ellen DeGeneres took time in her show today to discuss the recent murder of gay 15-year-old Lawrence King by a classmate at E.O. Green Junior High in the Oxnard, CA. The boy was mercilessly teased and bullied for his gender non-conformity for some time.

Kudos to Ellen for putting her weight behind the message that this kind of violence must cease.
