Hey everyone!

So it's been a long time since I've logged in or posted. I just figured I'd try to become active again and also give an update on where things are with me now.

So I finally got to my new university. I immediately introduced myself as Renée. No one calls me as my birth name here and, although many people don't know I'm transgender, everyone knows me as Renée. I have started to garner a reputation for my personality.

I started seeing a counselor to try to deal with my anxiety. I still get deep bouts of endless worry, depression, and self-doubt, but I'm seeing someone now in hopes that I might learn to get better. My counselor knows I identify as transgender and calls me only by feminine pronouns and by Renée.

I have finally made an HRT consultation appointment! January 4th, so one month away! So excited! My intentions are to work on my social transition as I progress my medical transition so realistically I'm moving forward with both at the same time, the progress of one giving me the self-confidence to continue the other--mostly because I tend to struggle with letting other people run my life in terms of how I appear and my self-doubt bouts usually lead to problems advancing in social transition. I'm quite happy with my current plans, though, and am excited to embark on this journey! :)
xoxo
