Herts_Stephanie

Hi everyone, If I may introduce myself my name is Stephanie and I'm a 52 year old, just starting transitioning, transsexual. I'd love to share a photo with you all as it feels strange introducing myself blind to you, but I understand why the fifteen rule postings is in place, and hopefully will get there soon, by chatting to you all. I'm based in the county of Hertfordshire, in the UK.

I'm currently in the process of growing my hair, booked to have my first feminine haircut mid next month. I've lost about 50lbs in weight since the summer through dieting and am looking to start hormones in the new year.

Hope this is enough to start, look forward to chatting/meeting you all. Hugs Stephanie xxx

Thank you for the welcome Jessica xxx

We girls need tremendous support from one another.  If I can help you with anything I will try the best I can.  There is a strong bond that grows with every interaction between us.  So much to learn and it's a slow path that takes determination and resolve.  Susan's can help you to find where your balance is and who you are.

Smiles, Jessica 💁

Hi Stephanie,

I'm Laurie. your friendly official greeter. We have many helpful unofficial greeters like Jessica to help us say hi to new folk like you. I did a lot of unofficial greeting as a self appointed unofficial greeter until they made me start doing it officially. Whew! well heck, let me get to it then.  Welcome To Susan's Place! Come on in and take a good look around. We are glad that you found us and glad you are here. It sounds like you know what you want and have decided to get it. That's good. We have several folk here from across the pond as you foreigners like to say. I'm sure you will be hearing from them too. So make yourself comfy and enjoy your visit with us.
I'll add some links and information below that can help you get more out of our site. Please take time to become familiar with them especially the RED one as we are always getting questions that are answered there.

Megan.

Hi Stephanie,  I'm a 40 y/o MTF just up the road in Bedfordshire (Biggleswade), though I spent most of my life growing up in Herts and I work in Stevenage.
I went full-time back in May of this year,  and started HRT in July.
Great work on the weight loss, and enjoy your salon visit, it's a real treat [emoji4].

Stephanie,  there is a trans* support group that meets in Cambridge each week (Thursdays) called Cambridge Diamonds. I used to be a regular,  and still go occasionally. I'd be very happy to meet you there to catch up. I could do 4th or 25th Jan? X

Welcome aboard Stephanie!!!

I started the transition ball rolling 4 years ago at age 52 as well and I hear in your words, the sound of someone who is ready to claim a new life, finally your own!!!

You have a lot of amazing discoveries awaiting you!... This path in life is one best traveled with friends at your side and you are amongst them here! ... I look forward to seeing your life blossom for you!!!

Onward we go brave sister!!!

Let go of the things that no longer serve you... Let go of the pretense of the false persona, it is not you... Let go of the armor that you have worn for a lifetime, to serve the expectations of others and, to protect the woman inside... She needs protection no longer.... She is tired of hiding and more courageous than you know... Let her prove that to you....Let her step out of the dark and feel the light upon her face.... amg🌸

Thanks Ashley for your kind words of encouragement. It's good that you can sense my direction & movement forward. I couldn't even see it myself until a couple of months ago. your message reminded me of a profile update i put on another site a couple of months ago

"I originally listed myself as a crossdresser on here, when I commenced going out as Stephanie, but having lost a stone and a half in weight, and having consciously started growing my hair out, both motivated solely by wishing to be more feminine. I had a "the penny dropped" moment when reading/researching recently. Whilst I in my mind, was trying to figure out my next step, I've already taken it, I've begun the process of Transitioning, this has made way to acceptance, and I now identify myself as being transsexual and will be looking to continue down this path. Updates to follow."

as you say a long journey ahead, & it's nice knowing I have friends here, but it's a journey i've started x

Hi Again Stephanie!!!

You are at a very good point in your life... A time when you are sensing the feel of the steering wheel to your life in your hands... You can drive your life to wherever you choose...our lives are truly what we make them to be... Embrace that fact and let it power your journey!!!

I believe you may experience that, at a age where many see their life as set in stone and beginning to wind down,... You, dear sister, are just getting started and the doors of possibility swing wide open before you!!!...

There will be challenges and fears ahead but they can all be navigated and great reward lies beyond!... A life, finally and truly... Your own!
