if I were to go for ffs, can I take reference images of how I'd like my face?

so say for example I have a really good reference for how I'd like my jaw shape, could I take a photo of that? I know theyre not going to be miracle workers and make someone like me wake up looking like evangeline lilly or whoever, but could I go

'well I was thinking a jawline more like this, or a brow more like this?'

that sorta thing?

I think it's better to work with your features and ask the surgeon what they can do.

There can't be a bigger nightmare than a client who wants Madonna's eyes, Garbo's lips, and Welch's chin.  :)

They will only be able to create a feminine version of you. They can't actually custom tailor a specific feature to your liking unless the shape you want is more or less currently in existence within the pre-existing bone mass. This is to say that your bone structure is your bone structure, and can only be augmented in particular ways that vary based very specifically on their current shape. Attempting to make specific shapes could result in your bones becoming too brittle, and it is also very much possible that your bones cannot create certain shapes to begin with.

It is very important to communicate to your surgeon what you would like to look like after FFS. While most of us just describe what we want with words, bringing along a picture or two is perfectly fine, if it helps you communicate what you desire.

The surgeon will be to tell you what is possible and what is not. Keep in mind, FFS is an art, not a science. Some surgeons seem to have better results than others, but there is no way to predict exactly what you will look like after surgery.

See this is what I was thinking. I dont think theres much they can do, but I do have one hell of a thick, square jaw. I was thinking maybe if there were possibilities to discuss jaw shape etc?

Of course you can talk about jaw shapes with the doc, mandible contouring is a common component of FFS.

Now they might not be able to make yours look exactly like whatever celebrity you would like to resemble, but they can certainly feminize it.

I would bring pictures to show what kind of jaw shapes you find attractive in general. Not just one picture and tell them you want this jaw - its not possible. But show them pictures to illustrate if you want a tapered, rounded, wider or narrower jaw makes sense, but allow the surgeons to also have some room to incorporate it into your overall aesthetics - it makes no sense to force a tapered jaw on a face that looks odd with a tapered jaw because its overall more rounded etc.

I had  vffs done to at least give me an idea of what was in the realms of possibility forself with my age and size i am going to make do with what can be done .....in the end the surgeon is the artist and i have thinking it over while i wait here in mexico for my ffs date , that if i am  dealing with an artist  then well some artists need freedom
an analogy is perhaps like when i was on the plane over from oz this stewardess took a shine to me and well basically tried to pick me up(not that i was intrested..flu)
Anyway she noticed i'd had my eyes tattooed so we got to talking on that subject and she told me about this massive thigh tattoo she is in the process of having done and how her artist steered her away from concepts that were er crap but then when finally deciding upon the design how he guided her with embellishments to enhance her original concept he is a free hand artist too ....no stencils
so i guess that some surgeons are the same ...artists...so sure as surgeons they can pretty much deliver what you want like a photoshop or you can let them practise their art ....do you know what i mean ?😊
Ive got my vffs to show him but its just a rough blue print there are things that he can see that will not be apparent in the photos and that is where i want his freehand artistic embellishment to be applied hope this makes sense ...mightbe i need to go on a tequila tour ....jalisco....i must be the only gringo here 😐
Some links to the manthing 😆😂😉 photos
