My top surgery is going to be at standford with Dr. Kim but I can't find much info or before and after pictures so I was wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this surgeron and how it went

Hi and welcome to the site.

I am traveling in the opposite direction of your transitions. I can't help you out. However, we have a lot of members all over the place. Hopefully, someone will be able to share experiences.

I also want to share some links with you. They are mostly welcome information and the rules that govern the site. If you have not had a chance to look through them, please take a moment:

<I do not trust her. I think >she <did poorly with> my boobs. One is lop-sided, one has a huge scar that requires revision and she did not discuss implant shape with me at all!!!

<It seems like most of the >transgender <people she has worked on have> complained about her!!!

Moderator Edit: Reviews of doctors are very helpful. However, they need to be discussed in an objective way. Otherwise it legally puts both the member posting it and the site in a tenuous legal position.

Baroness,

Welcome to the site. I am sorry you have had such a bad experience. However, one of our Terms of Service states that we are not to bash anyone(including political leaders and surgeons). As a new member, you have not been welcomed yet and may not have been through our rules. So, here is your welcome.

I also want to share some links with you. They include helpful information and the rules that govern the site. It is important for your enjoyment of the site to take a moment to go through them

I know this is an old topic but I wanted to respond since the one response may have been that person's personal experience but the remainder of the input was not accurate regarding other patients. I am one of many satisfied patients of Dr Esther Kim. She does amazing work. My chest is perfection and if you google her name associated with UCSF and look at the reviews, you will see she has mostly 5 stars except for 2, which I believe Barroness is aka Bianca Kahn who left a poor review. Dr Kim is becoming known as one of the best top surgery surgeons in the country. She is Nor Cal's Little secret but not for long. She is professional but warm and kindand she has a real passion for the transgender community and heads the Transgender team at UCSF and is starting GCS this year as well. One would be hard pressed to find a better surgeon. She does not do cookie cutter surgery but rather takes the time to sculpt your chest/ breasts to your body type.
