Charlotte Sparkle

Hello from me.  I'm a forty something transgender guy from Merseyside in the UK who is lost in pink fog.  I've been crossdressing since my early teens and came out to my Wife and close family a few years ago.

For years I have been spending silly amounts of money on womens clothing, jewellery, makeup and heels.  Now struggling for space to store all my lovely feminine stuff but refuse to purge as that only leads to heartache.

I love anything sparkly, black patent leather, fluffy jumpers, high heels, silver jewellery, sequins and well just about anything feminine and pretty.

Bye for now

Lotte

Hi Lotte,

I'm Laurie, I too am transgender like almost all of us here are. I am not quite sure how to refer to you though. You say you are a transgender guy and that you crossdress and love pretty things and clothes yet you haven't identified as female or as a transgender woman like myself. Cross dressing is an activity and a category in itself usually an activity men practice who have no desire to change how they identify. A transgender man is usual born female but identifies as male. And a transgender woman is a person born male but identifies as female such as myself. I believe you were trying to say you as a transwoman but as I said it is not clear to me. Sorry.
You could also still be trying to figure it all out and we welcome those here too. Non-binary, gender fluid, transmale, transfemale whatever if you are questioning your gender then we welcome you. Come on in.

Hugs,
  Laurie

No worries Laurie.  I always say I'm a transgendered guy with a passion for all things feminine, but perhaps that's incorrect.  I'm on the spectrum,  I'm male but I love all things feminine.  I find myself on forums looking into subjects such as male to female surgery, taking hormones and breast surgery which causes stress and confusion at times.

Also, when i see men who've transitioned to women and I see the before and after photos I can't help feeling envious.  Being married with two girls and being in my forties means going full time isn't really an option.

Not sure what label I should give myself, perhaps someone here at Susan's Place can help.

Thanks

Lotte

Hi Lotte

Okay I would think you are likely a transwoman like I am because if I read it right you have the desire to transition but feel compelled to not do so because of circumstances. Some people like to ask the question "If you were alone on an island, which would you rather be a man or a woman?" if you were AMAB and pick a woman you are likely trans if you are AMAB (assigned male at birth) and you picked a man you either are a crossdresser or not trans. Another is which would you prefer being buried as? Only you can decide where on the spectrum you are.
Stick around and join in the fun with us. Asked questions. Get to know us as we get to know you. The door is open Charlotte do come on in.

Hugs,
   Laurie

Hi Lotte, welcome to Susan's Place! I'm from Boston. I identified as a crossdresser when I first came to the site. Now I understand I'm genderfluid, but once you understand yourself, the label becomes unnecessary. Sort of like after you dump the green beans out of the can. You still know what they are.  :)  See you around the site!

Hugs, Devlyn
