How come on so many forums like this and cross dresser forums people use two first names? My screen name has two because "Lexi" is always taken.

There were too many Devlyns around and I wanted to distinguish myself from the others.

Take a look at how many are named Sarah on these forums. It tends to make it a challenge for all the new Sarah's.

Lol, I changed my name to get rid of a double triple. Three commonly used first names that all started with the same letter. My parents were a special sort of sick people.   Getting asked "which is your first name?" was commonplace.

It does throw people sometimes. Still, being one of 17 Jessicas standing up in unison in the waiting room isn't ideal, either.

When I signed up, I figured that Kathy would already be taken, so I added my middle name.  Kathy was a really common girls name in my generation; in fact the name Kathleen reached its peak of popularity in the year I was born.  I just assumed there's be lots of us.  I haven't actually seen any other Kathys around here, so maybe I didn't need the extra name after all.

Oh I know all about that too.  My first name was the 13th most popular in the year I was born, middle name was 98th, and my last name was short for one that was in the top 75 and extremely popular in years past.

The worst that it got for me was 4 kids in my class with my first name.

I don't have a middle name. Nobody in my family does. When I signed up on this forum Jayne was taken, so I did the most creative thing I could think of, I added "01" to my name. Does that mean my middle name is 01? [emoji15]

I think Megan wins.  She shortened her double name to Megan with a period at the end to distinguish herself from the other Megans.  I love that kinda gumption.

as for me, my parents are from the south.  They named me Bari Jo.  I like it too:)

you know how far the universe extends outward? i think i go inside just as deep.

10/11/18 - out to the whole world.  100% friends and family support.
11/6/17 - came out to sister, best day of my life
9/5/17 - formal diagnosis and stopping DIY in favor if prescribed HRT
6/18/17 - decided to stop fighting the trans beast, back on DIY.
Too many ups and downs, DIY, purges of self inbetween dates.
Age 10 - suppression and denial began
Age 8 - knew I was different

In my case, it came that way. I took it from a source of inspiration. When I first realized I was trans, I thought it would become my real name; that's changed, but I've been using it online for so long now and in so many venues that I continue to do so.

Ohhhhh!!! I was wondering why I had a middle name with no last name. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
