Hi.
My name is Rachel and I have been looking at Susan's for a number of years but I have only recently created a user profile and now feel it is time to officially introduce myself.
I am a 54 year old mtf and have been full time for about 6 months. I live in the county of Hertfordshire in the U.K. and work in London.
I am not a prolific poster on forums but I hope to make some new friends via Susan's.

Thank you all for your welcome.
Nina, I Have been full time including work for six months and have been on HRT for four months.  From those points of view things have gone exceptionally well.
I do have problems with family though. The people I thought may dis-own me have accepted the situation unconditionally and the people I thought would be okay with it have found it hard to accept. So the situation is that I have separated from my wife of 27 years ( she has known about 'me' for over 30 years ) and the relationship with my children is shaky to say the least. Having said that, I have not regretted the decision I made at any point as it was a necessity not a choice for my own health.

I'm sorry that things didn't work out with you and your wife. And ya you just never know how people are gonna react to this. But the the ones that are very accepting brings you much closer to them. I'm glad that you are out and not looking back. That's great to hear.
If I've known you more than an hour, I prolly love you  :icon_redface:
