Jacqueline S.

Hello everyone, my name's Jackie, I'm new here! I was on pills for the first 7 months and had no real problems. On the 8th month, I started injections and I started having varicose veins and now most of the veins in my legs are Visable. I am concerned, could my dose be to high? I have to wait two months to see doc and he's hard to contact. I am worried that I could be having some adverse reaction and they will take me off hrt. If they do I will probably :'(. I can't handle going back. I would post pics but I don't know how. Someone please help! Thanks, Jackie

It's a affects all women, estrogen increase the incidence of varicose veins.

There are things you can do to help to control it, exercise, and maintaining a healthy weight are important. Wearing compression socks can help as well, I wear them all the time. They don't have to be the ugly medical kind, you can find lots of cute socks and pantyhose online that provide compression and support.

Welcome to Susan's Place. I don't know what's happening but this is something you should check with your doctor. There is one question and that's have you been losing weight. I have found my veins are more difficult to see when I was at my peak weight (about 30 pounds more than now). If so, it's possible the veins have been there all along and just not showing. It also wouldn't hurt if an outside lab runs your test to ask your doctor for a blood work order so everything is available when you have your visit.
