Harder or easier to stay slim on T?

I've always had a curvy figure and am hoping it will be easier to stay slim. If I have more energy and do more physical activity and more lean muscle then it seems I should be less curvy and chubby.

It will depend on your habits. T may cause you to want to eat more so if you give into the appetite, you could gain weight. T will give you more strength and energy but if you chose not to use it, you will gain weight. The male equivalent would be the guy who sits in front of the TV watching sports, drinking beer and eating fatty food will gain weight. The guy  who is out moving around and watches what he eats isn't going to gain weight.

i agree with dena. before T i weighed close to 220 (at 5'2", this isn't ideal at all) but after going on T and having top surgery, i dropped down to 160. although i'm still not the "recommended" weight for my height, i'm built like a fridge so my fat distribution at my height works in my favour. i used to have curves, etc. now i'm completely slim on my hips but then again, i don't eat junk food, i don't eat take out and my job keeps me pretty active. as long as you watch what you eat, go to the gym or be active, etc. you should be fine. T may or may not increase your appetite (it didn't for me) so i would just watch that and be mindful.

I find when I am on T I actively crave working out. I already have a manual labor, highly active job, but two days ago I found myself wanting to do push-ups on my lunch hour.

I can't eat carbs, I gain fat like crazy on them. I am on a very low carb high fat diet. I haven't lost weight recently (45lbs over the last few years, but non since recently starting T again) but have definitely gained muscle. And fat redistribution has already started again and I have only been a k on T 3 or so weeks now.

Typing on a phone sorry about crazy stuff. Let me see if I can fix it

Having had pretty high T before and now having next to none, I find weight control about the same.  If I eat too much I gain weight whether I exercise or not.

Easier, because psychologically it forces me to do more physical activity, while I eat about the same.

I will probably be involved in the dance world so I should be ok.

Keep in mind that fat redistribution may not work out ideally even if you don't gain weight, though. I weigh twenty pounds less than I did pre-T, but I actually look much heavier than I did before because all of my body fat that used to be curves migrated straight to my gut.

I still don't regret being on T, mind you. I did it to ease my dysphoria, not look like a model. But there's only so much diet and exercise can do to alter whatever natural body shape you end up with.

Depends on your body type. I'm quite naturally stocky so the weight I've gained I think is mostly muscle. T can increase appetite initially so it's important to get into a proper routine of eating at similar times and planning what you're going to eat. I've also found T to make exercise a lot easier; I have more energy and it's less physically painful;  so that'll contribute to staying slim

I'm fairly new on T, so early days yet. But here's what I've noticed so far.

My stamina for working out has definitely increased. My appetite shot up in the first month. I'm still having the fight with the E though, so 4kg of weight gain in 6 weeks and about 3 inches around my gut (this is the part that worries me). I'm not a big person but I have been obese in the past due to meds, so that was an alarming start. I'm not sure how much of the belly is due to IBS/hormones causing bloat for the dread monthly thing. A bit, but I def did gain a couple of inches in fat. I'm also looking at a low carb diet aside from veggies and protein (more keto-like) which helps keep the belly in check, and that's helped in the last week. My arms are bigger from a bit of weight lifting. The exercise hasn't been consistent due to getting the flu and Christmas.

On the other side, fat started shifted in my face almost right away, which is helping me look more male (though some way to go there, for sure).

I only got an increase in appetite the first few months on T, then it got back to "normal" again. I say that in quotation cause my normal appetite is very, very low. I feel physical hunger but somehow my mind doesn't really register that for what it is, and eating is only a need for me never something I actually want or look forward to. So when I got an increase in appetite on T it just barely got up to the point of "maybe I actually do want to eat, for a change".

But I have a very slow metabolism (which didn't change on T as far as I can tell) so I gain weight very easily even if I eat very little, but then I also do eat next to nothing cause of my lack in appetite which makes it easier fo me to stay at a healthy weight. I have also only gained a very minimal amount of physical strength and/or muscle mass from just taking T and not exercising. My little sister who's also a couch potato is stronger than me, as a reference. I've struggled with both my slow metabolism and an eating disorder though, as well as my lack of appetite, so my weight has been fluctuating a lot and still does somewhat, but I've only briefly been overweight and never actually underweight just very close to. So mostly I've still been within the healthy range, just all over in it.

I'm not entirely sure of what my body type is, but the kind that gains fat easily, mostly subcutaneous and it mostly stores on my butt and thighs. I look thinner than I actually am to others because I don't really store fat on my upper body or face and that's what other people tend to see/focus on. So I'm like a pear-shaped endomorph, kinda. I had an extreme pear shape before T, and now 5 years on T I look kinda hour-glass minus tits, due to fat redistribution. (Same shoulder and hip width, narrower waist).

Short answer: it basically didn't make any difference for me how easy/hard to lose/gain weight after starting T compared to before. It just increased my appetite somewhat in the beginning but it didn't cause a weight gain cause even though I was more hungry I resisted it and didn't actually eat more.
