Heyo,

It's been a while since I've posted here but I've been getting worse and worse chaffing under my arms and my hips from binding. Any helpful tips on things that help? I don't want to wear a shirt under it because I'm worried about being too warm but it's starting to get worse every day.

Cotton maybe? Or adjust the armpits on your binders/sow some soft fabric under it.
You could also try putting sports tape over the area where you are chafing but I don't know if that would work. Matter of experimentation I think.

If the scratchy fabric inside of the binder is the issue, then you could see if the cotton lined stuff from Underworks helps? It's really soft and doesn't chaff.

If the issue is the hems digging in, then it sounds like you might need to go a size up. On the binders you already own, you could try lowering the armholes and raising the lower hem.

I second this. I have really sensitive skin that is almost always dry. So properly moisturizing with a good lotion definitely helps me. As much as I like gc2b, I hate their binders because the interior fabric irritates my skin something fierce and I always take it off within an hour.

I own a half tank cotton lined binder from Underworks. Although it doesn't seem as effective as a gc2b one, it is a million times more comfortable so I wear only that one (when I do bind as I don't/can't bind every day).

Also give your skin time to breathe. Not only does taking a break from binding help prevent injury, it also allows your skin to breathe and not be constrained under tight fabrics.

Only thing that ever helped my chafing was getting gold bond on it ASAP.  If I even wait the chaffing gets so bad I can't use any type of binding for many days.

You Have to get this stuff called Body Glide. Its absolutely amazing! Since starting T I've suffered from Swamp crotch and chaffing. I couldn't walk down the street on a hot day. I couldn't hike at all. It was really bad. Someone on here recommended it to me and its been amazing!

Its basically like Anti-perspirant for your effective areas. I'll put it on in the morning or before a hike and I just wont chaff. like at all. The reviews are all amazing. Theres no smell or stickiness or color. I honestly think this stuff is magic. 100% would recommend. 

There's something called Chassis that is like powder but resists water so it stays in powder form on the body, designed for dudes. It's kinda pricey, but it's new so expected I guess.

I just use mitchum APs. Not had an issue with chaffing, my binder(s) is made of some slidey material though, if it was cotton it probably would. On hot days I also tend to avoid cotton shirts and stick to materials that let water evaporate fast. Under Armor does a bunch of tees that do this.

I'll second this! I've found that the cotton lining makes all the difference. And as someone else said, talc powder helps keep the skin safe too. I also make sure to lotion and ointment up after I take off my binders.
