I did actually once, many years ago, try to speak in a soft female tone, presenting as a male. I asked a lady to listen and I was told "that was scary." I asked what did you mean and was told that voice could have been a low woman's voice, but it was scary spoken from a guy. I told her that I was just goofing around and wanted to see if anyone would think it sounded signficiantly higher and different from my natural voice. That was the absolute truth too.
Do not ask me how I even did that speaking, because I just do not know. I think I read something online about actor's falsetto, and how guys did that, so I just tried it out on a whim. I listened to a recording and it sounded like I was whispering so I could not figure it out, gee, anyone could whisper. I did not put much effort into it.
I just love those many soft, distinctlve, melodic, and pleasant female voices. That is just one reason I so much enjoy women, not that men's voice are bad. They are just not attractive to me. Some ladies have voices so pleasant, I could listen for hours. Well, at least in theory. Well, probably not that long. But I do often listen a lot, pleasant voice or not, because you learn and people do like that you listen and are really trying to understand what they are taking time time to say.
