This past weekend was my birthday, and a large part of the festivities included time for me as Sarah. Friday started with some errands, eating out, and getting our nails done, and Sunday included a burlesque brunch show in DC.
I noticed a couple times though, little comments that seem to imply that I had been clocked - comments that seemed maybe a little odd or unnecessary.
When getting our nails done (my first time getting a full set!) the manicurist made a couple comments - once mentioning how soft my hands were, and once saying that I looked cute. And at the burlesque show, when they checked my ID (which made it obvious), she commented about how nice my nails looked.
So I don't know - does this mean they suspected/knew something, or are these just the kind of comments women generally give to each other in that sort of situation. Am I just reading too much into it?
