Hey everyone,

I just had the worst experience with my group health insurance though my work. I been back and forth with them to see what the would cover..if anything. I signed up for insurance thinking it would help me, they made it sound like they would. Come to find out, I still have to cash pay for all my doctor visits, my T, and any blood work. As soon as they found out that I was a Transguy, they didnt help me for anything. Then.. on top of everything.... they will not allow me to drop out of the coverage. They say cause its pre tax dollars, the irs requires me to stay in the plan until the duration is finished (1 year). Unless my status changes., Like birth of a child (as if that would ever happen), death in the family, divorce, or termination....... They are making me pay 100 a month for this crap insurance I cant even use. Im out 1200 hundred bucks I coud be using for my top surgery fund.

Since I felt like killing massive people cause I was so pissed... I just went out and got another tattoo. But still- MY fault for not being that educated on the situation.... but Its pure BS.

Unless your employer has already paid your years worth of insurance, there is no reason it cannot be canceled. The IRS thing is b.s., it sounds like someone just does not want the extra paperwork.

Pre-tax dollars? Give me a break, you make a small change on the w-2. Even if they pre-paid it, it still only requires one small change.

I know... pricks.. My compnay WILL NOT let me out. I just think they want to take all my money... I wish I knew what to do. Bastards
