Hello, I'm curious if any of you have use a gender swapping app (like FaceApp) to see how they might look after FFS. Was it close to results after FFS?

I find that taking a photo and seeing myself in the correct gender helps with dysphoria but I don't want to get a potentially false expectation as to how I could look.

An example using someone I've been told I look like.

Faceapp is notorious for doing things that simply aren't possible with surgery.  It makes your eyes bigger for one, and makes some structural changes that simply aren't going to happen with FFS.

It is good for simulating hair removal and such, but some of the structural changes can't be duplicated.  After all it's just a photo editing tool, not a flesh editing tool.

That makes sense. I was thinking it probably exaggerated stuff. But was thinking that perhaps some of the stuff (like a fuller face) could be helped with HRT. But yeah I thought the eyes were a little bigger.

My avatar is a FaceApp result and I never thought or looked at it as being an FFS result.  I see fat tissue being moved around and some hair added but everything else is pretty much me.

Of course, we'll have to re-visit the picture in 1 - 2 years, lol.
