I watched The Greatest Showman a few weeks ago and loved it. This song is especially powerful, if you haven't seen the movie, check out this video, it's so relatable for any trans person:

That says it all sister!  I'll have to see it.

I agree this is such an awesome movie, probably one of the best I've seen in years. It's all about the struggle and acceptance of people that are different from the norm. The song This is Me really helps to pick me up when I get down. Actually all the songs in the movie are excellent and really speak to me as a transgender woman. I can't recommend this movie enough! Also, go see it on the big screen. This is absolutely one of those movies that was made for the big screen.

Love that song. Exactly the right the message. This is me, and thats the way it should be.
Every day is a totally awesome day
Every day provides opportunities and challenges
Every challenge leads to an opportunity
Every fear faced leads to one more strength
Every strength leads to greater success
Success leads to self esteem
Self Esteem leads to happiness.
Cherish every day.

Powerful soundtrack! I really wanted to view the movie but it was fully booked.. Now its not showing at the movies. Most of the movie mobs that rent have closed around her.. :( So I will have to wait to buy the DVD now.. Hugh Jackman is my most flavours Aussie actor.. I also loved Zendaya in this movie. Wow.. Just amazing.... Keala Settle did an amazing job of the bearded women.. All round a great movie..

Like I said 2 weeks ago, the movie was so so, acting good, story weak.

All the songs though we're pretty much standard pop anthems with cliche lyrics so none of them stood out and no wonder no Oscar nomination for any of them.

I do like this song as it lyrically strikes a chord with me.

I didn't find or look to hard for a link to a good original movie version so I had posted Kesha' s version to start my own thread for my ramblings.

Played that song at work today at quite a reasonable volume.  I had only heard it quietly on my phone before.  It gave me goosebumps and I cried at one point.  I think I managed to recompose myself before anyone noticed.  ::) ;D

I know what you mean. I cried my eyes out the first time I heard it and I still tear up each time I hear it.

I did too but didn't find one that was just Keala singing.  Not sure why that mattered to me at the time.  Might be that iTunes Kesha version was a better fit.

I think I cried the first 5-10 times I played it after buying it from iTunes.  Pop anthems aren't usually my thing but we saw the movie in the middle of a rough patch I was having so it hit home.
