Hi guys.

I´ve been on T some 18 months. Hair has come in nicely - legs, buttocks, stomach, chest, and face - all covered in dense hair that won´t quit (to the point where I have to trim not to look savage).

Anyway. For all this glorious hair growth, I have nothing on my upper lip.

What´s going on?  :P

I´m planning to start Minoxidil as soon as I can find it, and afford it.

I was just talking with a bunch of trans guys about this the other day . . . they all seemed to agree that trans men seemed to grow patchy facial hair.  Like it'll come in great under the chin and up the sides of the jaw, but there'll be a bald spot in the middle of each cheek, or under the bottom lip, or over the top lip . . . no one seemed to know why.

That happens to cis guys to. Some can't grow a full beard until their 30s or more. I had a patchy beard and two completely bald spots under my bottom lip at the sides.

My mustache only started coming in at about 3 years, and I can grow a decent beard. Facial hair is weird, wish I had more to say XD

Hmm..

I had accounted for the age (I´m 30) but didn´t think maybe it takes more time.
I do have prickly fuzz hair there - sort of a stage in between fuss and a stache - but nothing serious.

Hopefully it´ll come in later - and possibly if I start minox - I would rather have something grow there  ;D

You are in your very early teens as far as development goes. Very few younger teens can put out a decent beard because it just takes time to develop one. In my case, I fortunately never could. I had a goatee and a little bit of a mustache however my cheeks and neck had very little if any beard. This is what my face look like when I started electrolysis and that was about age 27.

Almost 4 years on T and I have a darn good goatee but my stache is just starting to kind of come in. I've known guys that couldn't get a good one until year 7.

True, it makes little sense to compare myself to guys who have been cultivating a beard for ten years, I suppose. But then again - wait another ten years...?

I´ll order Minoxidil when I can and see where it takes me.

You look great in the picture :)
