Ive been now 4 years on testosterone. i take a injection of T every 3 weeks, and i just took my shot this saturday (24/2/18)
my endocrinologist prescribed me multivitamins, to replace the folic acid i take on T day, just to prevent me getting sick.
the pharmacy lady told me to take these multivitamins (Absorvit Geral) every day, i know they contain folic acid
Ive been taking them every day, and today (28/2/18) i seem to be menstruating, i have vaginal bleeding that i doubt is from any penetrative lesion as i feel a bit constipated which was something common when i still menstruated.
i havent menstruated in 4 years and im freaking out, i never miss my T days, idk if maybe its the vitamins.
Please would someone just help me out somehow, because im in the verge of tears and idk where to turn.
i have a gynocologist appointment in 4 days, but i just feel so bad.

Colnelseb, so sorry to hear about this.  Glad you have the gyno visit already scheduled since they will have better answers than we are likely to.  Good luck

Hi Colonelseb!  Welcome to Susan's Place!  I'm Jessica, a transgender woman.  I do not have the experience to give you a proper answer, but there are others here that do.  A word of caution.. dosages are not allowed to be posted.  It can give someone considering self medication the idea that it would be ok for them.  This can be dangerous.
I see your new here, so I'll post some links that may help you get better acquainted with the site.

I'm really sorry this is happening to you, colonelseb.  Involuntary stuff your body does in no way reflects on you as a man.  Consider thinking of it as the result of an unfortunate medical condition.  I don't have a medical background, so I can't say why this might be happening.  Going to the gyno is a good idea.

colonelseb, sorry to hear you started bleeding after 4 yrs, must have been a real surprise for you to see blood down there after so long with none.  Did you still have any supplies to handle bleeding?  I hope your gyn has a simply reason for it and can stop it quickly.  I have often thought it would be a good to get a hysto even before I get phallo. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing.

the bleeding wasnt much, it was a few drops and spotting every time i went to clean myself. it seems to be old blood too, im hoping i just hurt myself somehow, but im not sure it would take 4 days to drip out.
my mum is a dear and gave me a few pads so i didnt mess up my underwear and it would be noticeable if it dripped more which it didnt, it just shows on paper when wiping. and it didnt show up earlier when i went to the bathroom, but could be because i took a shower. we will see tomorrow if it keeps happening.

im definitely more calm, hopefully my gyno has an idea whats up

sadly i dont think hysto is for me, as i dont want phallo anytime soon and im sexually active with another male, i was told it could interfere in that.

The only time this occurred for me was when the GP (mistakenly) lowered my T dose. It wasn't actual blood, but the water retention and the usual effects were there. If it had gone on for longer without the dose being put back to normal, it would have simulated shark week.

I had this happen to me as well, at 3 years on T. However I never could find out why. Neither my endo nor my gyno could find a reason, then it stopped on its own.

For me, it started during August (2016) as just small amounts, but kept on every day for 3 months non-stop. One week a month during that time it was heavier bleeding (like a medium light/heavy period) then back to lighter spotting between. After those 3 months it stopped, then came back 3 or 4 weeks later, and I bled one week a month like my pre-T periods, for 3 months. Then it just stopped, in January 2017.
I talked to my endo several times during that second half of 2016, had my hormones checked, and saw the gyno in start of January the following year. I got no answer, they said I was healthy and my hormone levels were good (not too low or too high). I'm on Nebido so I only take my T once every 14th week, it's a different kind of injection.
It's been over a year now but I'm seriously still on edge about it and fear it happening again... my hysto really can't come too soon, for me. To stop my period-paranoia if not else.

I didn't find out why it happened, but I got a theory from my endo. That it can be so that the lining in the uterus/vagina can sometimes still build up when on T and then after a really long time (several years) "release" it like a period. I'm not saying that's what it is though, cause I really don't know.
