No one anti-androgen is more effective for everyone. Some don't even need any and estrogen suffices. This should be discussed with your doctor and decided together. Best of luck!

Not everyone needs anti-androgens.

E can shut T down. Less strain on the liver and kidneys. Most side-effects come from anti-androgens because they were intended to treat cancer or blood pressure.
E is a natural substance already produced by your body.

I would say E is the most effective anti-androgen.

I have found that it can vary from person to person, to some extent.

Personally Spiro had almost no effort for me.. but lots of people have very good success with it.

As I am in Australia, I am on androcur which has worked significantly better in my situation. But it is my understanding that it's not available in several countries including the USA

Realistically it should be something that you discuss with your provider and they will hopefully be well informed and work it out based on you hormone levels.

Hi Emma 🙋‍♀️ Welcome to Susan's Place!  I'm Jessica, a transgender woman.  As far as medication goes , I feel it's always best and safest to ask your doctor.  Ask them what your options are and which would be best for you.  Everybody is different and hrt regiments can vary from person to person as Tammy has pointed out.

There are several types of anti-androgens. Some block the T receptor, such as Spironolactone. Others block the conversion of T into DHT, such as Finasteride. There are several other drugs in each type. Some people respond to one drug better than an other. This is where your doctor is the expert and with good blood level monitoring, he or she will help you find the most effective anti-androgens for you.

No one here is really gonna give advice if self medication is a route you are considering...
Seeing as youre asking but maybe your just curious in general. <3
But your doctor will give you their believed best option and maybe even a second choice

As stated above a physician is safest and theyll kno your body chemically <3
