Quote from: Sarah_P on March 16, 2018, 04:35:17 PMWait, you didn't just shop, you TRIED THEM ON?! I never tried anything on until I went shopping with a friend! That's amazing! Way to go!
Quote from: Roll on March 16, 2018, 10:54:01 AMI did it. I worked up the courage to shop for women's clothes in person. ................ Well. The courage to nab a pair of jeans already by the dressing room while it was unattended and try them on with no one seeing me go in or out and then make a half hearted comment about being sent with a list at the checkout. But... you know, baby steps.Bottom line is, I now own women's skinny jeans and I couldn't be happier.
Quote from: Denise on March 16, 2018, 11:30:38 PMSome of you have been aware of my battles with my insurance BCBS. After the original submission for FFS was denied, the first appeal denied, the second appeal denied, my personal appeal denied I requested a review by an outside physician. Well since this is in the "what made you happy" thread..... They finally APPROVED EVERYTHING!Lessons learned - make sure the original submission has it clearly spelled out that the procedures are Medically Necessary due to Gender Dysphoria (fka Gender Identity Disorder). I strongly suspect that once the outside medical review looked at it and figured out what was going on it was all approved. NOT ONLY THAT but the approval letter goes on to say, these procedures are also available to you. Some are for Transmasculine transformations so they don't apply but two jumped right off the page: ELECTROLYSIS and VOICE THERAPY. ALL COVERED.Guess who is a happy girl?
Quote from: MollyPants on March 16, 2018, 04:29:18 AMI found an app for my phone with a workout that I do about days a week. It's tough at first but now I feel a bit lost on rest days in the mornings. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
Quote from: Allison S on March 16, 2018, 04:33:02 AMOk I know this isn't directed at me. But I've been working on this too. I usually try to eat before exercising (I play music and dance or go for walks). My stomach isn't perfect, I have a bit of a pouch there, but it's feminine. Oh and give yourself time after eating something, even if it's small, before doing your work out. Squats and lunges are good and stairs (which I've been meaning to do but I keep forgetting..) helps a lot!!Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
Quote from: Cassi on March 16, 2018, 01:29:23 PMWhat made me happy today was receiving a call from my oldest younger sister who I replaced as the oldest sister, lol.We talked for a while and she said that I seem to talk more happy and open and laughed a lot more.I mentioned how I told my daughter that she was going to have to buy me a french maid's outfit if I had to keep cleaning up after her. She responded by saying she was going to get me one when they're on sale during Halloween.I told her I was just joking and she responded "you will look cute".

Quote from: Hannah Samira on March 17, 2018, 07:49:20 AMVery small thing, but a big step for me:I took the bins out, wearing heels, a wig, a dress and a face full of makeup. My first real time out of the house presenting as female (albeit just for a few seconds)
Quote from: Megan. on March 17, 2018, 08:07:12 AMI remember doing something similar [emoji5]. It takes guts to take those first steps out of the door! XSent from my MI 5s using Tapatalk
Quote from: Hannah Samira on March 17, 2018, 08:30:37 AMThere was a bit of an adrenaline rush, but for the most part I just felt kind of normal!! x
