My 2 cents is to just go with the electrolysis. It's the most effective; however, even the most effective electrolysis will only achieve around a 40% kill rate. Hence the need for multiple clearings. My electrolysis tech says she has treated many people who gave up on laser after finding it ineffective. The worst part she says is, after the laser treatments, it makes the electrolysis more difficult as the laser dries out the hair roots and you want a moist root for electrolysis to be most effective.
Had 3.5 hours of electrolysis yesterday and most of it was focused on my upper and lower lip areas. I totally look like a fish today as my lips are so swollen. I've found during the procedure it can be rather tough at times, but afterwards there is actually no pain. Just some swelling.
