Tall transsexuals like me have to wear extremely high heels unfortunately, if they choose to wear heels. A 4" heel on a ciswoman of average height, say 5'5", will not be at the same rise angle for me, since I am 6' tall and have long feet. For me, high 4" heels are a joke, like walking in 1.5" heels for a ciswoman. It is very easy and comfortable. I feel a need to empathize with a ciswoman and go through similar pain, so I prefer very high heels, as long as the rise angle is the same. But at the same time, I don't want to look like a prostitute or get clocked. The truth is I don't wear heels though.

I'll rock a pair of heels, wedges, flats, or sneakers.  Most of my heels are in the "high" range, my boots are in the "mid" range, and wedges in the "very high" range.  I guess it would just depend on occasion and the style of the shoe as it relates to the outfit I'm wearing.  I don't have a preference based on my height.  I come from a long line of Amazons, and have quite a few Amazon warrior friends...  5'10 to 6'2.  So I can blend with the crowd I hang with.  My friend Christina put it like this "think Super Model". If the shoes are required for the outfit, then it must be done...

I don't do middle ground anything. I'm 5'10. It's either flat, and pretty unisex at that. Or the highest and slimmest heel I can comfortably wear, which is about five inches. I can walk no problem and without any discomfort, but they are (the day after) murder on the old back and neck to have danced in.

I like heels but can only wear low to medium because I have bad knees

2.75' to 3.50" heels. Always been thinishly freaky strong in my legs and back, just don't look it. I normally don't go out dressed as female at this time though, too many constraints in my life now, just do the hrt thing(I'm fine with that), but rock it if you can do it.

I have a pair of three inch heels I got to train my self to walk in them. I suspect I'll need taller ones to get the effect as I'm just under 6ft. Day to day though I wear boots up to one inch or flats x

What's the purpose of these polls? You have asked about height, hand and foot size, etc. Im curious why you require all this information.

Since I'm 6'2", I prefer no heels or a low heel.

Per the comment from Harley Quinn, I need to find myself some Amazon female friends! (most of mine are average female height)

Anything between 2 and 7 inches. My day-2-day preference is around 3. Took me a bit of training but I do get through 14 hour work days now...

I have very long legs in proportion to my height (5'-10"). The red heels in my picture are about 5" but all my heels are in this range. My other favorite pair (black straps) are 5" also. I can walk best in this size. And I feel quite sexy... ::)

I got a pair of 5" red heels and I crushed them. Literally, I put them on. Stood up and the heels collapsed. :D At 6'4" I don't need the extra height so I've switched to 2 inch wedges or flat heel.

I'm 5'9".  I don't do uber high heels, but I've worn 3" heels to job interviews back in the day (early 00s - I've been at my present job as a Quality Engineer since 2004).  In general, it depends upon the fashion, though I am hesitant to wear 4" heels.  It's not that I can't walk in them (if there's any one positive thing I got out of having been born with short Achilles tendons, which made not waking on my toes a real challenge, when I was growing up [no, I never had surgery to stretch them out, though an orthopedic surgeon did briefly talk about that option with my mom, when I was little], is the ability to walk decently in a pair of high heels), it's that I sometimes feel self conscious about my height (yeah, I know, it's kind of odd - I've run into plenty of other women who are taller than me).  Unfortunately, for work, I have to wear steel toes (since as a part of my job as a Quality Engineer, I have to go out on the shop floor more than occasionally).  So low heels it is on the job (actually I prefer athletic style steel toes - I need to get another pair, since mine are wearing out, and despite what one of my female coworkers suggests I do, and has done on occasion herself, I DON'T DO guys steel toes [despite them being more common than ladies steel toes] for obvious philosophical reasons  :)).

With regards to shoes I have - I have two pairs of boots I adore, but since they are more in style for casual wear, I wear my lower heeled 1.25" riding style boots more often than my 2.75" heeled boots.  For additional casual footwear, I have a pair of 2.25" wedge Skechers sandals I bought recently on sale, that I'm looking forward to wearing this summer (ditto for the lower heeled Skechers sport sandals I also bought at the same time [hey, what can I say?  I like Skechers  ;D]).  I won't lie, I have a bit of a shoe addiction - the only thing that keeps me from going crazy buying shoes, are financial constraints, and the fact that while I love a nice 3" sandal (ah luvs muh sandals!!!) and dressy shoes, I don't often have call for wearing dressy looking pumps, and 3" high sandals, IMO, don't always look good for the casual style of dress I typically wear when I'm not at work.

YMMV,
Ellen

I have long narrow feet and, as others have mentioned, do well in heels. I go out on the town from time to time and anything higher than 3" is hard to wear all night.

I bought a couple pair of semi-boots/shoes that have a raised heel an inch or two.  What's weird is when I wear them I can actually bend easier.
