I wanted to make this thread kind of like an open diary of my journey to womanhood. I have come out to my family and have went out in public dressed as a woman 3 times now. I am not ready to go full time yet but every step helps. I got a referral to an endocrinologist and am currently getting things together for a gender assessment so excited. And I am feeling more happy and calm already. Will keep posting  ;D feel free to post with me, love y'all

Going fishing with my dad in a few weeks and we are going shopping for fishing poles and license right now. He will not let me wear Even a pink  shirt but at least he still wants to  spend time with me.  ;D

This is a great way to create a diary, so when things get fuzzy you can refer back.
I happy you started this thread of yours.  I'll be waiting for more updates!

I hope your fishing trip goes well, maybe find a pink bass plug.

Hugs, Jessica

Wow my dad bought me a striper / salmon fishing pole and reel from Bass Pro Shop! On our way home after a great day together and for lunch we went to old spaghetti factory.

I told my sister last night about me wearing her clothes and makeup about 10 years ago.  She took it good at the time but today asked me if I wore her clothes (which I haven't  done in years)  because she lost trust in me. And she feels like I lead a secret life with another family and she feels betrayed because I tricked her. All I know is my sister is my best friend and I feel terrible like me being trans really hurt her. Now she's accepting to a degree like she took me to get makeup demo and get mani pedis but feels I never should have been sneaky and dosent understand why I didn't tell her when I was around 11

I was contacted by a transgender specialist today and we got the ball rolling! She asked me for my preferred name and pronouns and I told her I am unsure of name right now and I'm not ready to go full time (it's scary) so I want to go with male pronouns for now and to call me Joshua which is my current name.  She told me to expect a call for a gender assessment consultation.  I'm very excited to have things move forward. Honestly idk if I will go on hormones but it will be good to have somebody to talk to about this medically. And finally my therapist is coming with me on April 11th to meet my psychiatrist    :-*

I went to my therapist today dressed as a woman it was awesome! She was very excited to see me as the real me. I was referred to her from a gender health center. It was so empowering I feel incredible!

Wow-whee Jennifer, your last couple of replies are nothing but great news.

Going to your therapist in female mode was a big and bold.... and satisfying step for you!! :)

... and spending a day with your Dad was a nice event for you and you even got a new rod from Bass Pro Shops... and a lunch at the Spaghetti Factory too!   A wonderful day for you!!!

Please keep your updates coming.
