Has anyone eaten scorpions or tarantulas?  Overseas there are street vendors that sell all kinds of bugs also.

I had scorpion and a bag of BBQ crickets. Tbh eating dried shelled inverts is like chewing on dust. I'm not a huge fan of bugs in general so anything more juicy than that is out.

I don't think I could eat a tarantula, used to have one as a pet.

Couldn't bring myself to eat an octopus it looked revolting though I've eaten squid a few times. Had some Spaniards at work then, they were horrified by steak & kidney pudding but quite happily ate the octopus!

It is made with sardines, eggs, and potatoes.

The fish heads protrude through the pie's crust, with their eyes appearing to be looking upward.

Octopus isn't bad, a bit chewy but good none the less. The legs of bigger ones cut up and cooked with some vegies over rice is good. Baby ones boiled with their legs curled up so that you can eat them in one piece are great with beer when gathering with friends, sort of like chips or pop corn and beer watching a game. My difficulty comes when they are babies but big enough so that you have to bite their heads off, a bit difficult for me, especially for breakfast.

I tried escargot when we were in France. I didn't really like it. It reminded me of eating an eraser. I did enjoy the horse steak until my dad told me I was eating horse. Lol

Funny you should mention horse.  Just finished watching the 1st episode on Warrior Women with Lynda Carter narrating and Bethany Hughes explaining along with another person.

Anyway, The Scyites who lived above Persia were the "Amazons" of legend and started out using their horses for meat and milk.  This according to the show.

Saw the Hairy Bikers cookery program were they ate a deer's penis in Vietnam! it was horrible!

Do you remember the Indiana Jones Temple of Doom movie with the eyeball soup?

They also had served at the dinner chilled monkey brains, giant beetles, and baby snakes in a large snake.

Yeah, only human penis and testicles are going in my mouth. Lol. I've eaten beef heart.  Its good actually. I love liver and onions and beef tongue is very good if its cooked right. I've never eaten octopus or squid and never plan to.  Brains of any kind, just no...no. And tripe almost makes me yarf just thinking about it. Ewwwwwwwwwwww! !
