Hello girls !

I would like to know if anyone here has ever grafted fat on the face (on the cheeks of the face, temples) and if a good part of the grafted volume actually stays on the face ... because I am thinking of doing this procedure to make my face less thin and angular , instead of doing something with medpor, porex or silicone, but I am afraid that after some time, the fat will be absorbed all over the body.

I want to do my FFS with Dr Martins here in Brazil, but he only works with a fat graft on his face - he does not use other materials - and it scares me.

Thank you !

The first question that comes to mind is how long you have been on HRT, as that will change soft tissue over time.

I don't have a good answer for what percentage of fat graft / fat transfer is lost over time, but it is safer than many other methods.
Assigned male at birth 1963.  Decided I wanted to be a girl in 1971.  Laser 2014-16, electrolysis 2015-17, HRT 7/2017, GCS 1/2018, VFS 3/2018, FFS 5/2018, Labiaplasty & BA 7/2018.

I had facial fat grafts and kept about 50 percent of mine.  Some doctors will also tell you that you retain about 50 percent.  Younusually have to have them done more than once.NARTCP

I've had fat, silicone (legal), radiesse, Sculptra, etc.  As you age, you gradually need refills regardless of the material.  I had fat with Dr. Z a few years back and will need a bit more when I see him this summer.  It's more like long-term management for me.

I wonder whether the success of the grafting is better when done as a stand alone procedure instead of during FFS.

I'm having FFS later this year and questioning whether it's a good time to include fat grafting.
