Hi

So I´m about a week or two away from my SRS recommendation letter, after which I can book a definite date with PAI-clinic in Thailand. I´ve been already discussing things with the clinic and preliminary we´ve agreed September as a surgery date, might be sooner depending on my job situation...or might be much later, due to finance (bummer).

But what I´ve been thinking about is that if everything goes well and I will have SRS in September, then I´ve been on HRT for 10 months before surgery. Or if the SRS is even sooner, I´ve been on SRS for like 7 to 9 months.

Does it affect negatively to feminization, that I´m dropping out on HRT for the surgery?

Also, as I´m on cyproteronacetat, it has a slight gynecomastia effect, I´m a bit worried that after surgery I wont need cyproteronacetat and it will affect negatively to breast development. Not to mention to pause estrogen, what that will do to breast development.

Any advice, experience or ideas?

Um from what I have heard/seen once those testies go away your breast get bigger .. I'm going by what I have experienced and my surroundings(which are lbgt in this case we are speaking bout trans ) but that is anecdotal ... honey people get the op without takin hormones. You will be fine

Hi Mendi,

I had GCS/SRS 6 months after starting HRT.  Excellent results so far (2-1/2 months post-op), no complications.  Surgeon was accurately aware of my medical history.

Most (but not all) anesthesiologists and surgeons require briefly stopping HRT prior to surgery.  A week or two without HRT sounds like a long time, but the physical effects of HRT require quite a bit of time to develop - I wouldn't worry about it.

Best wishes, and looking to the future.
