Hey Guys, I've been on hrt for officially 2 WEEKS !! That is the exciting part, but I do have a question regarding transition. Okay, I want to know how fat distribution works a bit. I am not monitoring how much I gain or lose in the last 2 weeks. I always had a great metabolism. Whatever I eat just burns quickly. So, I do not know how fat distribution will work for me. I am noticing muscle mass changing and I lost a lot of muscles in the area I did have them in. I am just afraid that my metabolism won't change and will this mean Fat will not distribute to my face and other important area's. I seen some people like me who have great metabolisms and they look beautiful. I just want to know more about this.

Thank you guys!

Congrats on starting HRT !  First of all I am not a doctor nor an expert on how hormones work but from personal experience and almost 8 years on hormones I can give a bit of perspective as I also have a fast metabolism. Prior to HRT my average weight was between  100-110 lbs now after many years on HRT my weight fluctuates between 115 -125 lbs ( I am 5 foot 7 ) depending on my eating habits . Not a major difference in actual weight but I can definitely tell a difference in the way I carry the weight. My cheeks have become fuller , my face softer, and I carry the little weight I've gained in my rear end and thighs.  I honestly can't remember if there were any changes to my body 2 weeks in to HRT but wish you all the best and hope this information helps you a little.

Every little bit of information helps me and I appreciate this so much! Thank you, I know YMMV. I've actually notice quite a few changes already. I make sure I take a lot of pics for references. Thank you so much

I wouldn't make any sort of medical self-diagnosis about my body. So many people I know claim to have fast metabolism, but this sort of thing needs to be diagnosed by a doctor first (and yes, they can do that). It makes it a lot easier, since to you it can seem like you have a fast metabolism while in fact you could have a lack of fibers in your diet (just an example).

Maybe in your case your doctor already confirmed this, but I just wanted to put this out just in case.

Always be wary of self-diagnosing.

My Physicians have told me that I have a fast metabolism. I maintain the same weight for two years. (117) Trust me I ate plenty and had enough calories per day. To double check I will check in with my doctor for the next appointment. I appreciate the advice. I did gain a few pounds, I am 119
