Here's a review in Marie Claire about at home devices. I'd be curious about any real life experiences

I have the Tria and ironically used it last night for the first time in awhile.  It does seem to knock it down some, although I'm not so sure that it as effective as ampro laser.

I tried an older IPL system and the Tria laser before I started HRT. The IPL system was all flash and no bang. Sure it knocked off the surface hair and left you with that lovely smell of burned hair, but it always grew back. After several months of use I did not notice any difference in hair growth. The Tria laser does work, but it took a lot of treatments (dozens) at the highest power setting before I started noticing any difference. In my experience trying to permanently clear a large area like my legs would probably have taken well over a year of weekly treatments. If you have the time it is certainly a lot less expensive than professional laser treatments, but I gave up on it and started going to a laser hair removal salon. I have been very happy with the results on my legs, back, and stomach, but my facial hair is being quite persistent.

Thank you for the advice. I think I'll pass on these products and look into professional solutions. Easy solutions are rarely real solutions.

I Have the Tria and it does work it just takes along time. I have no hair left on my cheeks and upper lip is 75 percent clear and chin is 60 percent clear. It is alot cheaper than pro lasers but you just have to be patient I am happy with mine just wish the battery lasted longer and was not as heavy.
