I know at some point most of us have bought or still do buy wigs , I'm just wondering where's the best place you've found. I'm fed up of buying cheaply made hair. Looks fab in the pics and then when you get it ..... pft look like I've been dragged through a bush backwards  :(

Do I just bite the bullet and buy an expensive real hair or do you know of anywhere that is decent ?

Thanks for any help  ;D

I've been using Sepia brand wigs that I get from Best Wig Outlet.

I would be suspicious of anything that was under $100.  I bought mine at a wig store, and a hair salon.  One was given to me by a friend.  Though I have looked online, I haven't ordered any that way.

Careful with wigsbuy.com they sent me one that has no volume, very thin wig and it had grey hair! They're giving me a hard time on top of it (no pun intended).

Going in person and trying them on is better. I know it's intimidating but it's worth it

It would be nice to be able to go try some on and be comfortable ..... who knows what the future holds lol.

Anyways after taking a look around , I ended up at uwigs , I've bit the bullet and had a real human hair wig. After all , I'm probably going to wearing it a lot ..... hopefully soon

Thanks all

That is awful, I hope I did not just get luck with the few I purchased. Was looking to buy one more.

I have been researching this topic myself since I had to cut my lovely long hair for a job.

Anything decent is going to be a few hundred dollars or more.

That said, there are Chinese websites that have wigs for ridiculously low prices. I almost bought one last night just to check it out. It was a lovely looking long hair wig with a wave for $15. Seems unreal. Just don't trust the Chinese internet. Could be the hair from starving North Koreans or something ... don't know. ??? But, if you want a good wig my research has shown that you need to spend some real money. Google is your friend, all the sites will pop up. :)

I love dresses!!

While I was growing out my own, and when it got shaved for my transplants I purchased a couple from Trendco in London. They have a full salon, a great range you can try on, and were very polite and helpful.

I have one wig and I purchased after trying on samples. It was expensive and it came with a shaping and cut included  when it arrived. Human hair is about $1,400 and can be shaped afterwards for curls tight or loose or straightened. Synthetic can not be shaped. I purchased a synthetic at about half the cost of human hair.

There are cheaper wigs for sure and much more expensive.

I have one wig I bought years ago. I never have to use it. My hair length reaches down to my nipples and still growing. My hair thinning is also reversing and all on its own.

Since the explosion of weaves, extensions and lace wigs, the quality has been down everywhere.  The synthetics typically don't hold up well to daily use.  The human hair has to be remi or virgin remi which of course costs more money.  With custom made wigs, you have to specify the density b/c stock units are typically thin.  I tend to go with 150 or 180 density b/C I  prefer a thicker look. I have had some luck with a chinese supplier dodolove33 on Ebay. It is best to be very specific about what you want.  Noone has great quality anymore.  They all coat the hair and once the coating wears off all hell breaks loose.
