Hello. I just wanted to put this out there to give credit where it is due. Dr. Keelee Macphee and her team here in North Carolina are far superior than I have ever imagined. This morning during my operation she was able to achieve 10.5 inches of depth. Which I was very very very surprised and amazed by. She texted my phone and told me that I was the biggest she has ever done surpassing the big orange dialator. Shocker right?! I was able to see my girl for about 10 seconds after surgery before the swelling took place and she was so beautiful. I couldn't be any happier right now. As far as the pain, it is very minimal. Just trying to adjust to the catheter at this point. For anyone thinking about having this surgery I highly recommend Keelee and their staff here in NC!

Here's to happy healing :)

Thank you. I also wanted to mention to you ladies that I was able to get up out the bed and walk the first day. And I did it just fine and even made it down the hall. My nurse said I was the first one to make it out the room on the first day. Just wanted to share that with you.

My first time standing up and walking across the room after GCS was shockingly difficult and not as fast.  Congratulations!

Very sweet of you ladies to respond. Definitely makes me feel even better knowing there are women like me who have been through a similar experience.

Kendra - this could be because of my age that I was able to get up and get moving so fast. I'm only 24.

Devlyn - thank you so much I really appreciate it means a lot :)

Sfbarbie - I'm sorry you didn't have such a good experience with Keelee. I knew from the moment I met her that she was the one I wanted doing my surgery and no one else. It just felt so right and I'm glad I made this decision. I would also like to mention that my surgeon who did my breasts aug was Dr. Steven M. Zoellner located in Pinehurst, NC.

Kendra - and there is nothing wrong with that! Lol

I would also like to mention that the nurse just got me up out the bed to check on my sheets but there wasn't any blood. Completely dry and clean. It's like I'm not loosing any blood at all. I'm hoping these are good signs. 👍🏽

oh wow! what method does she use to be able to achieve that much depth? this is so unheard of. you must've been very well endowed prior to surgery, or was it a colon vaginoplasty?

Jenn90210 - I was surprised myself. She used the normal penile skin inversion technique on me. The reason she was able to get my depth so deep is because my skin was very stretchy she said.

I also wanted to throw this out there to everyone, maybe you have some advice for me.
My back is hurting so much at this time. I've tried ice and a heating pad plus the meds I was percribed but nothing is working.
:(

Hurts more than the surgery to be honest......

Until you can get up and move around, bed can become uncomfortable. You should be able to sleep on your side but there is a trick. You need to ask for extra pillows and put them between your knees to keep your legs separated.

It is possible a muscle was pulled while handling you during surgery and if so, probably something like Ibuprofen will give you the most relief. Aspirin would normally work however as your fresh out of surgery it might be best avoided at this time because of the risk of bleeding.

Thank you so much Mrs. Dena. I'm gonna try it out.

Another thing.. I have not had much blood to come out. My bed sheets are still clean and everything is going well. It honestly feels like I didn't even have the surgery because of the little to no pain down there and also the minimal bleeding. And also being able to walk twice on the first day just fine. I just need to get my back under control and I'll be one happy lady!

Thanks again!

I didn't bleed much either and the surgical dressing caught what little bleeding I had. While there was some pain, I didn't use any pain medication other than what I received during surgery. Some people are better able to handle pain than others. If your sensitive to pain, by all means, ask for pain medication but if you don't need it, it's best to avoid it.

I have seen several people after surgery and if your having pain, one of the best times to ask for pain medication is before sleeping. Handling pain while your awake is one thing but if pain keeps you from sleeping, ask for pain medication about half an hour before going to sleep.

I did not bleed at all either.  What there was must have been caught by dressings.  That said, i imagine they cauterize a lot.  I did a flight of stairs twice on the third day.  I'm 66!  Also, while the would healing has been fantastic the nerve healing, at my age, has been very slow.

Good heavens bleeding. I bleeded for 2 years.. turns out I had some internal scarring that took silver nitrate. I STILL bleed from time to time.. and heavy mucous production;  Then again I have some very strange things happening internally in the first place.  I tear easily internally from speculum use if they're not gentle, but I fortunately heal up relatively fast too.  Only one uti thank the gods.

I was weak as a new born kitten after my surgery (back in 2001).  I felt just fine, ready to get up, stood up, PLOP right into the nurses arms lol.  Sure fooled myself. Just glad the nurse & doc were there to catch me.  I learned real quick how weak I truly was.

Talking about weak, I was confined to bed for 6 day and wasn't allowed to elevate the bed. Day 5 they tilted the bed so the feet where lower than the head but it was still flat. When I was allowed to sit up, I hung my feet over the edge of the bed for several minutes getting over the light headedness. Being on my feet amounted to standing next to the bed until I needed to lay down again. After a day or so I had enough strength to walk however after a little trip down the hall I would return to the bed so exhausted I would flop down on the bed on my back with my legs hanging over the edge and take a little nap before I had the strength to get my legs on the bed.
