I like that... educator, not an activist....  much closer to what I try to be.    The word activist can be a red flag and a turn-off for those that you want to "educate"

Well, yes, in my case also, I am the only trans-woman that these people in my town have ever seen.... so I am trying to make very certain that it is a positive experience for them. .... and for me!!!!

I absolutely love that line! I'm gonna steal it. ;D

I hate the idea of pushing for politics or arguing with people over stuff, I just want to express my personal happiness, comfort others if at all possible, and help people understand that this isn't about an agenda or beliefs, just people trying to be better people.

So just a few hours ago I get a message from an old coworker. She was amazed about my transition. We talked about our past working together and I found out she thought I was hot as a male and loved the way I made her laugh and feel we both flirted with each other back than. She than said from the pics she has seen of me she still thinks I am hot. I told her that I thought she was hot too. She said that she would like to meet up and go for drinks. It made me feel good as I am always been self conscious about myself and the fact she is 5 years younger than me made me feel good too.

It's probably just a passing thought, but I'm having fun embracing my femininity.  Seeing changes to my body and face finally is shocking yet I don't want it to stop. I'm not saying I'm where I wanna be but it's something.

My day went okay, but tomorrow I get to see my endo earlier than I expected. Such a good feeling. ^_^

Today I had fun being the boom operator for my fiend's short film he's making. Was feeling pretty down prior but he kinda last minute told me that he was shooting today and asked me if I could boom and I did and it made me feel better and it was fun. I was using a rented Sennheiser mkh 416 p48 microphone on a boom pole with a blimp and dead cat (that's what you all the fluffy thing that goes on a mic) and brought my backpack that I wore on my chest to put all the cables in and set my Zoom H4n Pro inside. I don't own an actual professional audio bag but it worked out so that was good and felt like a real audio hero.
