ETA 3 1/2 hours... Yeah right...
  My trip westward from Patti's place in New Jersy lasted a little longer than expected. The first obsticle was that it was 2 o'clock when I finally left Patti's place. That meant I was in time to catch rush hour traffic along with a couple rush hour accidents just to make things interesting. Going through Baltimore was of particular fun. Why expect  a 3 1/2 hours drive when you can stretch it into 6 hours? In spite of these delays Sarah1972 kept on saying she still would love to meet with me for dinner. She picked the spot and sent me the address. As I neared the area where she lives and where the restaurant is located I realized much to my chagrin our rendezvous would be smack in the middle of these tall buildings lining the freeway. Oh no... oh no!! Not here, not in this area. I follow directions and take an exit.... busy main street.. turn   no parking  anywhere, another turn and I can check my phone for the restaurant. It has an address containing the name of a multi level parking structure I saw next to the freeway with stores advertised n it.  Tyson Corner I think. Please not there please?  I find the restaurant and it has it's own parking lot and separate building. I can't believe it.  I park and await the arrival of Sarah. It's 8pm.
   Sarah arrives and we greet with hugs and proceed inside for a meal and better yet lots of good ol' conversation. In a matter of minutes we are talk like long separated  friends reunited once again. The food is good and so is the company, but as all good things must the time flies and I must get back on the road and Sarah must go home. With the bill paid we walk back out to the vehicles, hug a couple more time as we say good bye. I must say I found Sarah to be a delightful young lady that was truly a joy to visit with.
   Back on the road head southwest once again.

  I found myself alone after the morning dark elixir and gruel. Mistress Michelle aparently had some important task to take care of that didn't require my presence.  I took advantage of the honey badgers    having discovered just what "mating pair" meant recently, (it has become their favorite pastime) to gather my meager possessions and slip past them to freedom once again.

  On the road again..

Michelle had a similar urge as you headed to Bari Jo's after leaving her.  She was told she should have gone with you, she should have trusted her heart. 
Life is finite and we must do everything we can to enjoy it.

  When we last left our fearless road warrior she had just hit the road heading west by southwest after a dinner visit with Sarah1972. Let us see where she has gotten herself off to...

  It was well after 10 pm when Sarah and I parted company and with the help of my phone's GPS I managed to leave the forest of concrete and steel behind and got back on course towards Missouri once again. It wasn't long and I began to question my google based directions again. I started in the DC area of Virginia and thought I was heading in a westerly direction you here I was in Maryland again. I know Baltimore is east of Virginia. I had driven through it to get to the meeting with Sarah but those signs have "MD" on them. What the heck?  I'm too tired to figure it out and pulled into a rest stop to spend the rest of the night. I awake to an eerie sight in the morning.



  Missouri is still several hundred miles away so after a rest room trip and a morning chat with my girlfriend it is back on the road again and yes I'm somehow still in Maryland. I didn't get far. Mile after mile goes by  with quick stops for food and breaks. State after state, another day turns into night and still no Missouri in sight. Hours later and I go through a little familiar town I've seen before. Wicliffe, Il and then crossing the Ohio and Mississippi rivers into Missouri. On into Dexter, Mizzery. It's 11:30pm when I pull into the driveway of a cis-woman friend. Lefty (Beverly) is still up and likely to be until dawn. She opens the door so I can come in and visit. She is a friend of my good friends Peggy and Jim and is a World of Warcraft player (dang hordie!) It's her playing WoW that has turned her into a night people by playing all night and sleeping during the day. Anyway I visit until about 4:30am and hit the road again heading for the far side of the state a little way north of Springfield. I didn't make it. Nope daylight came once again, but the day and night without sleep has taken it's toll and I take an exit... any exit... I find a spot to park and proceed to get a short nap. 30? 45? minutes later I'm back on the road. Another 100 miles or so and I'm again looking for an exit. This time I manage maybe an hour and a half of sleep before I'm back on the road. I'm about 35 miles from Springfield and I'm seeing people standing at intervals along the freeway with PVC white crosses. This lasts almost the rest of the way into Springfield. I figure it out... it is Friday... Good Friday before Easter, this is the bible belt after all.
  Finally the belt way around downtown Springfield and onto highway 13 going north to Weaubleau, Mizzery  60 miles or so and I pull into Peggy and Jim's place and can shortly crash and get some sleep.

And thank you so much for making the time to stop by on your journey. Somehow our meeting was very empowering to me. Outside of Susans I have very little interaction with other trans people but I realized that not many cis people are interested in our special problems (try talking to a cis men about tucking, he would have a meltdown). Maybe I finally need to join a support group.

Sorry for making you lost in the big city maze. I had feeling there was a very large force drawing you back to the west coast, and given the miles you put on the Laurie Lorry after we parted are a clear indicator of said force.

I am glad you made it back home - I know it was hard to leave your girlfriend with the honey badgers but i am sure you two will re-unite real soon.

I assume you have a ton of things to catch up after such a long trip.

I also want to thank you for sharing your adventures. You have a huge fan club here and we all have been religiously following the "Laurie Tracker" and you adventures.
